WHY NIGERIAN YOUTHS MUST UNITE

One of the greatest problem affecting Nigeria as a country, especially the youths who consider themselves as agent of change is the lack of unity.

The absence of unity promotes anarchy, misunderstanding and backwardness.

You will notice that a community project is either not completed on time or not completed at all,the reason is because people were tasked to carry out night vigilante to avert armed robbers, but only few people showed up. A particular area was trying to prove that the majority of the little people who showed up for the vigilante were from their area and the other areas were trying to prove otherwise, this consumed them both and the next time they called for any meeting, no one showed up. This is the effect of the lack of unity.

Unity is a very strong force that enable people to share the burden of life with others without being crushed by it. Unity is a combination of forces to pull an object stronger than the power of a person or group. Using the combined forces of the Nigerian youths against the enemy of the masses will be more effective than when the youths of each region are trying to accomplish the goal on their own.

A person who feels he his not loved will find it hard to support a common cause in a particular group fighting to achieve a certain goal, this is why we must imbibe the spirit of love in our midst.

Unity can be considered to be the state of general agreement and focus for a common good. when individual sinks their differences and come together as one, with a shared interest and purpose, this constitutes unity and where there is unity, their is no discrimination, superiority claim, hate or prejudice. We would all see ourselves as one free and equal.

Love is an element of unity and it manifests through patience, tolerance and our ability to share in once suffering moment and happiness. We must not mock other people or religion for their problems,we must not blame them either,we should rather join forces with them to find a lasting solution to the challenges, that is Love. Where love exits,we will be ready to scarifies our time to see to the good of others.

My fellow youths, i beg of you, do not join the old cargoes in their deceit to the nation, the entire youths of this country should ask some common question from our collective leaders which includes:

1. How much do you receive as monthly allocation dear governor and how much development do we see in our state each month? Is that the cause of south or north?

2. Despite the complain of your excellency and other southern leaders about the north milking the nation, you are still very rich, your families are too, your children and their unborn children already have enough to live on, yet we remain poor. why?

3. Despite your noise about the southern leaders conspiring against the north, your children and children children enjoy the good life they need and would ever need, yet we remain poor and backward. The north is said to be educationally backward, but your children remain educationally upward, why?

4. We lack job employment but your children, friends and family are moving from one lucrative job to another, why?

5. Civil servant have not been fully paid the N18,000 minimum wage, but our institutions are charging over N100,000 as fee, why?

6. A 5 years old civil servant worker walk with his leg,yet your children not working at all drives exotic cars around town and board first class flight, why?

The questions are countless.

The so called youths, comrades and agent of change both from the north and the south are so consumed with the prejudice and sentiments of ethnicity, regionalism and religion,we accuse the next person of the same act we are guilty of without wanting to adjust our ways to share a common ground.

Let me tell you the simple truth, the downfall of Nigeria would not be as a result of the corruption of our leaders, the greed of our experts, the distortion of our clerics, the intrusion of foreign agents or the lack of vision of our government, but in the sentiments and lack of a common reasoning among the youths. I have seen many youths talk about change so passionately that you would think we are truly ready to lead the nation right, but the next moment, you would see the same person so sentimental when it comes to region or religion. we defend lies, and bad leaders in our various regions because they are from our region or religion.

I keep wondering when a youth organization introduces a national issue to be discussed, just to see that after few moments, the issue had been turned to the issue of a region or religion where everyone would be busy defending his region and labelin other regions all sort of names..

What are you defending in your region? Tribalism.
What are you defending in your religion? mediocrity
Who is your hero? An hypocrite
and who is your adored leader? A thieve.

Look at our 36 states, every state has its own governor among his people,Yoruba, hausa,Igbo,Ijaw etc with a monthly allocation irrespective of the amount. How much development do every state record per month? Nothing.

Who embezzled the allocation of the western state governors? Hausa's!
Who embezzled the allocation of the northern states governors? Igbo's!
Who embezzled the allocation of the eastern and southern state governor? Yoruba's!

Wake up people, these greedy elites are united on a common purpose of improvising us, they embezzle at the expense of all citizens and never mind what we feel.

Why should we be divided to stand against their evil aim?

When they want to steal our resources, they do it collectively, why should we be divided to demand justice?

OBJ is a friend to IBB, Jonathan is a friend to Tinubu,Orji kalu is a friend to Atiku and they are all united to embezzle.

Jonathan from the south insisted on Bamangar Tukur from the north for PDP chairmanship, others from the north insisted on Oyinlola from the south for the secretary. They are united to destroy.

They don't care where you are from, be it south or north, they only care to destroy us as they have always done, won't you rather wake up?

The truth on ground is that, we are all sentimental and must adjust our ways,if we must progress. Every one want to blame the next person, every region want to blame others,no one want to take the blame, but no one need to take the blame because we are all guilty. There is no need to blame anyone, the elites should be collectively blamed by all because only under a good leadership can a nation excel. The northern youths should defend the south against their northern elites and the southern youths should defend the north against their southern elites.

Wake up Nigeria
Deceit is over
The truth shall prevail
by the unity of the youths
Sentiments apart
Together we prosper
United we stand
Divided we crash
With one Nigeria
Progress is assured
Elites are the same
From North to the South
Exploiting us dry
Is there common agenda
But i have pledged to Nigeria
To serve my country
And the time is now
To fulfil my pledge
Aluta continua
Victoria ascerta
Youth are the drivers
who drive nations to glory
The key to drive Nigeria
Rest on our shoulders
We must drive well
To secure the future
Wake up Nigeria
Victory is assured
