I just hope by June ending, there would be no xcuse of; "Oh, they are a young team that is why they crashed out in tha 1st round" "Oh, no Lampard, Gerard, Rooney, Cole, Terry, etc" "Oh @least they tried, we didn't xpect them to do anything cos of in-xperience" "Oh give them time (WC 2018) & see what they would do" Xcuses upon xcuses is what has made Nigeria to go down the hole..... N.B. By the way, 'm a UTD fan & I don't support just for support sake when there are facts, history, etc to back up my opinion/points |

dmcdad:Just saying that some managers prefer their players to play 'conservatively' in last group games if their teams would only need a draw. They'd rather prefer their key players to not sustain needless injuries in the name of seeking a win. And that England team already had a half-fit Beckham who was their main talisman. |

dmcdad:Before the emergence of Xavier and iniesta how many trophies Spanish team won? How many years did it take Spain to win their first World Cup? |

hensben:If you never quote me you no go rest. For the records, I don't do Spain when it comes to international footie. I'm a full-time Brazilian fan for life! I was, I am and I will always be a fan of the Brazil NT. But to answer your question; it doesn't matter. At least in your lifetime they have won something. What has England won in your lifetime? When was the last time they won the World Cup? Decades ago. When was the last time they won the Olympic Gold Medal for Men's football? Almost a hundred years ago. When was the last time they won the Euros? Never! Bruv, they have nothing to write home about. |

Emaprince: The problem was in the match Brazil played with 10 men after Ronaldinho got a red card around the 60th minute and England played vs 10 men for 30 mins and could only get one shot on target from Danny Mills While Germany played Brazil without their best player Michael Ballack and lost to Brazil Germany is not England mate in anything called football Since England last won 50yrs ago, Germany has won 3 world cups England 0 world cup, Germany 3 Euro cups England 0 Euro cup Germany has played 6 world cup finals England 0 world cup finals, Germany has played 5 Euro cup finals England 0 Let me break it down further in all compaetitions since 1966 Germany has moved further than England in all except 1. i.e Euro 2004. The difference between Germany and England in football is like the difference between brazil and nigeria 4 Likes |

dmcdad:At least Spain benefited from the brilliance of Xavi and Iniesta when they emerged. You should have asked him why England failed to benefit from the brilliance of Lampard, Gerard, Beckam, Rooney and co in their lifetime. |

AdeLaNa1:So friendly is now the benchmark? Wow! You won against Barça in the preseason, does that mean you won't be totally annihilated if we cross path now? Bro you should know better than this. A friendly is what it is and nothing more. Make tournament start, na that time we go know who be who. |

And if England had lost, u people would ve flooded this place of how useless England was. U know it. And i know it. And if friendly matches were so useless and overrated and negligible, why is it part of the criteria Fifa uses to rank teams?? 1 Like |

dmcdad:lol.. My first and would have been my last post on the England issue if you had not quoted me while you, Ramuzaki and others have been on it for over a day and I'm the one carrying it on my head like gélé.. Again lol. That aside I'm still trying to wrap my head around how winning a friendly became a bad thing. Should they have lost? How does someone get stick for winning? Because a totally different English team did a similar thing 14 years ago and lost to eventual winners in the quarter final, while failing to beat Nigeria in the group stages. That right there is the problem I have with you and your likes. They deserve stick for being underwhelming in recent tournaments and those responsible deserve stick for that Just stop the unnecessary criticism. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by dmcdad: 7:51pm On Mar 29, 2016 |
PietroRico:Bruv, if you had followed this from the get go you would know that your fellow EPL fans blew the win outta proportion. Of course winning is winning like you rightly pointed out, but not to forget also that the tournament in which you win still matters a great deal. So, you and your fellows should take cognizance of that. |

AdeLaNa1:Ranking or no ranking, how does it affect the fact that England is shiit. Even in the very rankings you are talking about, Germany is always ahead of England. So? Wetin be your point? The below image for your kind perusal. As at 3rd of March.

Raumdeuter your thoughts on Sebastian Rudy. I think he's slightly better than Emre Can at that RB position. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by raumdeuter: 9:12pm On Mar 29, 2016 |
Emre Can was a disaster on the right and I dont think he should ever play there again. So he is a poor comparison I think Mustafi, Ginter and Durm sef can be better options on the right or try Kimmich there Today Germany played a different tactic 3 central Rudiger-Hummels Mustafi Rudy and hector acting as wing backs A fluid midfield/attack of Ozil, Kroos Draxler Gotze Muller where everyone interchange but Gotze as the false 9 The position Rudy is playing today is as a wing back and might not be enough to assess his defensive ability when taking on a solid winger like Ronaldo, Griezman. And I doubt Germany would play such formation in the Euro with Boateng, Gundogan, Khedira back That said Rudy and Hector impressed going forward 2 Likes |
