The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Right Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal will now present his paper

" Democracy only works if all the rules are followed, the NASS had carried out investigations into some critical sectors of the economy not to witch-hunt, but for public benefit. The Executive should strive to assent to bills passed by NASS. Nigerian parliamentarians have conducted themselves well in international parliamentary bodies. The Govt of late Yar'Adua and now Goodluck Jonathan have shown tremendous maturity in their relationship with NASS.We are waiting for the executive version of the PIB bill to act"

It is now time for the President, C-I-C Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to present his address

" No one has ever won a presidential election with 100% of the votes,Whoever wins in a democracy should be allowed to do his work,Can you really separate the parliament from the executive and have stable nation?, All politicians are supposed to campaign for votes based on their party manifesto. Throwing stones on ourselves can never lead to good governance. let us concentrate on governance and forget 2015 for now.
The Executive and Legislature must work together for democracy to take root in this country,No matter how bad one feels over anything, he must act based on the rule of law,We are committed to our transformation programmed"

from my little knowledge of democracy, what we have here can be anything apart from democracy. in a democratic govt, only jonathan and friends have no right whatsoever to fuel the removal of fuel susbsidy on nigerians even without the consent of the national assembly. on the other hand, jonathan in a democratic setting had no right to attack harmless protesters with his soldiers.
stealing, looting, killing and lying are never parts and parcels of democracy.
these deceits must go find a name for what they are practising.
