-University of Ife was changed to Obafemi Awolowo University. -A technology school was named after Nnamdi Azikiwe. -ABU, Zaria was once University of the North. I stand to be corrected! Last year, Federal University of Technology, Yola was renamed, Modibo Adama University of Technology, Yola. Obafemi Awolowo I know as a Nationalist, the same with Nnamdi Azikiwe and Ahmadu Bello, but who is Modibo Adama?....a Nationalist?.....whats the contribution of that name Nationally. Pls, what is/are the Criterion(..ia) for a name to be immortalized or monumented or homaged! Im not getting the purpose(s) of all these recent renamings. LOOKS LIKE PLANNED WORK TOWARDS DISINTEGRATION! ##just saying## #modified# |
