Kobojunkie:

How far has all the prayers you have offered up gotten you and Nigeria? Over 1 Trillion dollars stolen by less than 0.1% of the populace while poverty rate continues to rise each and every year. Worse violence and terrorism has over time come to be considered the norm in the Nation, and those in power continue to invoke the name of God rather than show the substance of all they claim to have been working on.

Enough of the prayers. What is needed, and has been in short supply, is action on the part of the people. Even the Bible says Prayer with no work is DEAD, USELESS!
....and ATIKU stole 17% of the 1 trillion dollars......

Atiku is a no-good himself. The northern oligarchy(not the modern elites)habors nothing but disdain for any southern leadership. For those who can still see beyond their noses, it is curious that this type of language is emanating from someone from the same party as the present president. What will opposition do? Considering the disposition of Atiku and IBB, the south ought to have nothing to do with them. But due to love of money, many southerners go boot licking when it is clear to them that these elements hold their lineage is extreme hatred and disregard. A case of selling ones father, mother and birth right for a morsel of pottage.

Presidential aspirant and former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has said that the country does not need ‘’goodluck’’ but “hard work and prayer” to overcome the present security and political challenges facing the nation.

Speaking yesterday as the special guest of honour at the 13th Speech and Prize Giving day of EL-Amin International School Minna owned by the late former first lady, Maryam Babangida, he admitted that though the country is passing through a trying period, ‘’Nigerians must learn to stay on course’’.

The Turakin Adamawa, while speaking on the current insecurity and political situations in the country said they are challenges that would require more than “good luck” to surmount. Though luck has a role to play in human affairs, he was quick to stress that, ‘’you do not sit and wait for luck to smile on you, you have to work hard’’.

Addressing the graduating students in a paper he titled, ‘’Imperatives of staying on course’’, the former Presidential aspirant recalled that as a student he never relied on “good luck” to overcome academic challenges but attributed his successes to hard work and prayers.

Observers would be whether the former Vice president who kept harping on the word “good luck” was indirectly harping on it because of the rhyme with the president’s first name. Atiku then told the students that their graduation marks the beginning of a more challenging phase in the journey of life.

He emphasised ‘’Whether you are going on life’s journey by rail, by road, sea or by air you are likely to experience difficult challenges but you need to stay focus and stay on course’’.

The former vice president whose speech drew ovation from the audience, which included former military President, General Ibrahim Babangida and members of the National Assembly, went on memory lane, saying, ‘’I used to have a teacher in secondary school, when we are going into the examination hall and people say “good luck” he will say no! no!! No good luck but you must work hard to overcome challenges.’’

He reminded the graduating students that obstacles are inevitable in human life, maintaining that there is no journey of life without obstacles, but advised that they should not allow situations to throw them off the course.

Atiku then commended the foresight of the founder of the school, the late Mrs. Maryam Babangida for establishing the school, describing the legacy she left as an inestimable value for generations of Nigerians that would have been educated in the school in the years, saying, ‘’graduates of this great school would become key human resources for the country.”

INFO70: 'WHAT' IS TALKING? ATIKU BOKO HARAM I DEY LAUGH grin grin grin grin grin grin WE NEED VIOLENCE TO SUCCEED AS A NATION, NOT GOODLUCK NOR HARDWORK.
ATIKU, THE BLOOD OF THOSE THAT DIED AS A RESULT OF THE KILLING BY BOKO HARAM SHALL BE ON YOUR HEAD AND YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY TO YOUR SIXTH GENERATIONS. BLOOD IS THICKER THAN WATER.

I am sure that is the Lesson being taught Nigerians by The Boko Haram. "ONLY THE VIOLENT TAKETH IT BY FORCE". not die-logue, or trying to be reasonable. You need the Guts to become and maintain your superiority,.....Ask Ghengis Khan, Great Britain, America,Ceasars, Alexander the Great. If you are not willing to fight, you may as well perish, take the back seat or be enslaved by truants. Freedom and becoming dominant is not a Child's fantasy wish...........the VIOLENT TAKES IT BY FORCE!!!!! To every thing, there is a season...A time to love and a time to Hate, A time to tear apart and a time sew...... a time to Break down and a time to Build Up!!!

i cannot remember Atiku earning any meaningful academic prowess apart from Diploma in Law he got from ABU! because he attained the zenith in his career as a customs officer did not mean he merited it, it was just the way of the Hausa Fulani mafia who have been running the country since independence. This is why they are fighting to destabilize the nation because a minority Canoe maker's son is running things! they will fail I swear

wadoski: Pray tell me what it takes to rule the country. How many past presidents both in Nigeria and elsewhere have ‘successfully‘ ruled their countries? Is their any president that has ‘succeeded‘ in solving all theproblems of his country? You see when you make such comments, I begin to wonder if any one person alone has all it takes to lead a country.

"No president has succeeded in solving all his country's problems" - you are right but Jona has not succeeded in solving even one problem. That is the issue and he does not show any prospects.

He does not have to tell you that stealing is legit. Nigerian people allow it so if the people speak, who speaks against them? If you hate the situation that much, stop giving power to the thiefs and mo-rons. Or is that too much for you to do too?

It is time you folks grow a brain. If you do not have proof of this,it is best you learn do away with the puerile attempts at attacks, and focus your energy instead on finding those to really blame for the situation.

@Poster, last thing Nigeria needs, in my opinion, is more prayer. We have a populace that will rather close their eyes while the 0.01% continue to rob them blind. Nigerians need to open their eyes, not close it in prayer, and fight for a better future for themselves, and their children.
