When we sit and look around we will find out that from 1960 till date Corruption has been in Nigeria, the only difference is it keeps getting worse by the day.

Pastors, Musicians, teachers, Professors, Lawyers and others who had a better chance of curbing this menace (corruption) from becoming cancerous all failed in their job (except for a few).

Pastors preached Prosperity instead of the fear of God and Salvation.

Musicians sang praise songs and jargons instead to things of societal values.

Teachers and Lecturers taught crookish ideas to students instead of making them upright.

Lawyers defended lies and sinful acts for financial gains.

All these lead to the terrible state Nigeria presently finds itself in today.

Men like Fela Anipulapo Kuti aka baba 70 stood out and fought the injustice in the system, an act we was beaten, jailed, humiliated and even lost his mother and property for. He was a man whose songs of the 60s,70s,80s and even 90s are things we can relate to today.

Another man is Eedris AbdulKarim. A hiphop musician who even though was termed a "wack" rapper, some of his songs. Like the popular 'jagajaga' are situations we still face in Nigeria today. His single act of standing up to face 50cents against discrimination is the main reason why Nigerian acts are now highly respected and well paid by event organizers and media houses today.

A young raggae musician was also a man whose hit songs like 'our government bad', 'crises, 'mr president' and a few others were songs which spoke for millions of Nigerian citizens.

Femi Falana, a human right activist and Lawyer is amongst the few truthful and human right lawyers we have in the country today who speak the truth.

Pastor Tunde Bakare, now seeing as an opposition in the present administration. But this is a pastor who even before he join politics was a people's fighter, human rights activist as well as a top member of the Save Nigeria Group who fought the so called cabals that saw powers being handed to Jonathan Ebele. G. (Nigeria's current president).

Apart from a few others too, the remaining public figures like the Pastors, Musicians, Lawyers and the rest all are after their personal greed (satisfaction) and this has seen them not speaking the truth when necessary.

The above men are men who truly deserve a National award.
