@Obi Oma, I can understand trying to deliver information and what it means to wait to receive news, whether good or bad. The sad thing is untill you are personally affected by this news, you wont know how to react to its distortion and to the hurt you will feel. I pray you never experience such and i wish you well. it is indeed a time for mourning and sober reflection for our families and friends, so I will reply after we've said our final farewell to our Faithfully departed siblings. May God protect and bless their children they left behind.

@Oba234 - I disagree with you, foreverything is possible and nothing is impossible. It is obtainable.

Like you said birds of the same feather flock together , so are you and your pairs. So you can not categorrically say that it's not possible for naija to have a huge fan base, you may be surprise at what you will see if you carry out a poll.

Nigeria is going thru a revolutional change in ideas and concepts,my generation/our generation is of the jet age and you did be surprise to know how many nigerians have access to the internet,so it is with what the can download. Don't forget that most series that they watch all have rock genres sound tracks or even the movies themselves.

Well just to let you know it's possible call DJ Mannny and ask him of the first ever rock show held last year which he was made to be the MC, against all odds with the heavy down pour of rain, lagosians turned out in large numbers to make it happen, upon the fact there was fee attached to it.
Dude it's happening, embrace the change, we have come to stay and lead, in South Africa ,rock has bulit it's self heaven in africa. High regrads to Amya.

The song for today is Nickelback '' IF TODAY WAS YOUR LAST DAY'' . PLS ENJOY,

''My best friend gave me the best advice
He said each day's a gift and not a given right
Leave no stone unturned, leave your fears behind
And try to take the path less traveled by
That first step you take is the longest stride

If today was your last day and tomorrow was too late
Could you say goodbye to yesterday?
Would you live each moment like your last
Leave old pictures in the past?
Donate every dime you had, if today was your last day?
What if, what if, if today was your last day?

Against the grain should be a way of life
What's worth the price is always worth the fight
Every second counts 'cause there's no second try
So live like you're never living twice
Don't take the free ride in your own life

If today was your last day and tomorrow was too late
Could you say goodbye to yesterday?
Would you live each moment like your last?
Leave old pictures in the past?
Donate every dime you had?

And would you call those friends you never see?
Reminisce old memories?
Would you forgive your enemies?
And would you find that one you're dreaming of?
Swear up and down to God above
That you'd finally fall in love if today was your last day?

If today was your last day
Would you make your mark by mending a broken heart?
You know it's never too late to shoot for the stars
Regardless of who you are

So do whatever it takes
'Cause you can't rewind a moment in this life
Let nothing stand in your way
'Cause the hands of time are never on your side

If today was your last day and tomorrow was too late
Could you say goodbye to yesterday?
Would you live each moment like your last?
Leave old pictures in the past?
Donate every dime you had?

And would you call those friends you never see?
Reminisce old memories?
Would you forgive your enemies?
And would you find that one you're dreaming of
Swear up and down to God above
That you'd finally fall in love if today was your last day?

Programming / Re: Nigerian, Kehinde Adeyemi, Among Best Global IT Developers by broucher: 11:28pm On Jan 06, 2010
To ALL,

IT WORLD is so dynamic and well spread, so i don't see why we have an issue with one programmer who went on an international competition from Nigeria with just one year in programming and came 12th in general. Awesome result , good rep for our naija universities.

The only wrong is the subject matter which might not have gone well with everyone. However I will like to state that even I myself in Support has achieved great heights in writing applications suitable for foreign operations in Nigerian banking. Does that mean am the best in IT? Nope.

It simply means that I have assisted in putting Naija in a good progress report in terms of good development.

Let us help one another Naija mates.

To All,

I like i said earlier, My Dstv Dish is fixed to the roof, all i did was to remove the cable from it’s decorder and plugged to the strong reciver.( remember i didn’t adjust the dish at all) And my 2.4m is on the ground facing Nilesat west and is not afixed to the dstv cable in any way.

So Sayso might be right , I have no idea ,am just toying with the idsh to get results and report to the forum.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread of Free To Air Satellite TV (Part 2) by broucher: 12:01pm On Jan 26, 2009
Am here in lagos now. AM not sure if it is Hotbird that I have ,but i did Blind scan on it and got most station i already have on my 2.4m dish nilesat, including mbc 4.

You know Nilesat is by the west here in lagos ,so i wasn't sure what am getting ,since the dstv dish is facing east. thats why am waiting on the guru's to talk to me. Frankly nothing is impossible.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread of Free To Air Satellite TV (Part 2) by broucher: 11:26am On Jan 26, 2009
@ olofofo and All,

My experience yesterday: I pulled out my dstv decorder from the dstv dish and plugged the cable to my strong box and then i tried blind scan for hot bird and W4.

To my surprise i got channels from those birds but they were mostly channels in Nilesat with mbc 2 and 4 showing as well. I was able to watch Arsenal game on JSC+4 on it.

My question is how possible was it,since the Dstv dish is facing east?

Also on my 2.4m dish with ecolink ,why cann’t i get show series and show sports, since am on nilesat at that location.

Adewest , we are yet to be formerly introduced, Am F-Marshalls cousin living here in Nigeria now and Olofofo and has been of great help in getting fired up. And since getting my dish I have never stoped playing with it,looking for signals like mad.

What do u think about what i said with the Dstv dish and all?

Thanks all for your input.

@ Fxproff
wow, that is really funny, i love that, your installer would be very amazed, its really nice to know that u are getting those lovely stations, but u have only 2.4M dish, how are u gonna be able to track hotbird, when u have one dish or did u have 2 lnbf? let me know, also is hotbird on the same position with Nilesat, so it wont have to involve moving ur dish from the position of Nitesat, if u are gonna be using one dish 2 lnbf.

I Only have one dish , just experimenting with it. I actually moved it from nilesat position to the east following euteslat w4, I started by 12minding ht and 3am I had lost all signals and couldn't get my Nilesat back. Again I tried Hotbird by manually following the dstv dish at my end to the east this morning, but by1pm I had achieved nothing.

well the good news is that with olofofo on the phone i was to re -position back to nilesat. ( Take note it wasn't possible to track nilesat again with my ecolink, i had to use strong box to track Intelsat 7/10k, I got MBC4 at this point. So I now switched back to the Ecolink at that signal and was able to get nilesat. I guess am gonna see the game now, that has been my experience for today.

Thanks again for this forum for their encouragement.

@Fxproff

Yes am getting for most show time channels. Right now am tracking for Hotbird. the channels are alot over 300. Funny that my Dstv Installer came and was amazed at the things am getting with my new dish and he wanted to know, how i did and why i didn't call him, I kept on laughing and laughing at him. It was so funny.
