The Wolves bottom 10 offense over the last 2 seasons has come home to roost. This game was close then as soon they brought back Gobert and most importantly KAT, the Mavericks go on a 13-3 run. Good luck to Minnesota as they'll need it with the albatross of a contract they gave to KAT.

Also have to hand it to Kidd. He is running rings around Finch this series.

The doubling is really to make him inefficient not necessarily to stop him. You can't stop a Jokic unless he doesn't feel like scoring that night. So if you let their most efficient player unfettered scoring access, you're demoralizing their defense.

Gobert doesn't have good hands or a soft touch so he will always be a liability on offense, the effort required to stop him is minimal. What you want is a body on KAT. Allow Antman to keep playing hero ball, when KAT starts feeling himself is when you run into having problems. He's an overly emotional player that tries to over correct his reputation as a softie so put AG on him to knock him off rhythm

I definitely don't expect MPJ to play as bad, he just didn't have it yesterday but I've not seen him have back to back games this season

I just believe that overall the Nuggets obituary was written too early. Their big advantage is that they usually just understand the assignment in late close games. I get a lot of San Antonio Spurs vibes from them.

You make a good point about Jokic however it would have helped more If He wasn't just allowed to coast on Defense because the Man He is meant to be guarding can't play a lick of offense.

You can tell how the game will go with KAT within the 5 minutes. If He hits a 3 or 4 shots and He is feeling himself, then you are in for a good night, if not then sulking might start to set in. What is clear though is that Rudy cannot guard Jokic. So do they send a double and make Jokic pass and gamble that his teammates keep missing or do they move KAT to Jokic and let Rudy just roam around. They can do that anyway since someone like KCP won't hit water if you threw him off a boat

I don't know if these games would end in blowouts though. I don't know that KAT will keep shooting that poorly. Which means MPJ and Murray need to cook for a blowout to be possible

No one in the league can guard Jokic so there really no point doubling Him. Let Him get His and let the rest work hard for their buckets. Roaming will make sense if they are constantly attacking the paint but there are drawing Rudy out to the perimeter where He is all but useless. Jokic is even taking plays off on defense because He is guarding the offensively inept Gobert.

MPJ had 4 points yesterday, that's not happening again this series. KAT has been efficient this playoffs apart from yesterday so I'd give Him that. However the way the media and almost everyone went overboard about what the Timberwolves are and I found it a bit bizarre. I've come to understand some of this hyperbole is necessary for ratings but the Nuggets are not as bad nor the Wolves as good as the first two games painted.

Game 2 was a weird game in that the Wolves were allowed to get away with prison ball and Denver were not allowed to match the physicality. I for one have found the officiating in these playoffs rather bizarre, they tried correcting in Game 3 as well but why do that when you can just be consistent across board. What you call foul for one team call for the other team so nobody gets to throw tantrums

At the end of the day I keep saying it. Jamal Murray is the ultimate X-factor. Forget Jokic, this team goes as far as Jamal Murray goes. If Jamal goes band for band with Antman they will come back and win this series. Simple and short

They have massively out performed their regular season offense thus far but are slowly but surely regressing to the mean. Their only hope is Ant and KAT going supersaiyan whilst simultaneously hoping Jokic and Murray don't as the core of KCP,Gordon and MPJ is better than Conley, Mcdaniels and Gobert.

They sure better hope that's the case with Gobert as you can't be giving nothing on the offensive end whilst also having subpar defensive games.

I'm sorry cutting the number of teams from 20 to 18 makes Zero sense. I think we all know why the big 4 wants an eighteen league team no matter what they say. It's because they want a bigger pie of tv revenue pot.

It's very selfish of them as most teams don't have the brand cache of the Big 4 which in turn limits the amount of revenue they are able to generate. Many Teams are currently living on the edge and will literally go bust if they drop to Serie B. I don't think many people know the realities of teams in Serie B.
