Crime / Evans Opens Up Again Saying He Also Finance BIAFRA Agitation by denis2: 12:10am On Jun 30, 2017
The online Newspaper quoted a reliable police source who pleaded anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the press as saying that Evans confessed he has allegedly donated heavily in promoting radio Biafra and the Nnamdi Kanu led Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The Kidnap kingpin was also quoted to have made a shocking revelation that he has donated over 10 million Naira to the group since 2014.

According to Elomba.com, Evans was quoted to have said his last donation to the group was allegedly $5,000 in June 2015 and that he was allegedly in touch with IPOB leaders until he was arrested.
According to the insider, Investigations are ongoing and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring those who benefited from Evan’s magnanimity are arrested and every penny recovered.

The IGP has also promised that Evans will soon be arraigned and prosecuted once investigations are completed.

Meanwhile Evans, on Wednesday filed a fundamental rights enforcement action before the Lagos Federal High Court in Lagos, urging the court to order the police to charge him to court or release him immediately.

Joined as respondents in the said suit marked FHC/L/CS/1012/2017 are the Nigeria Police Force, Commissioner of Police, Lagos State and the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Lagos State Police Command.

In the suit filed on his behalf by a Lagos-based lawyer, Olukoya Ogungbeje, the suspected kidnapper is seeking a court order directing the respondents to immediately charge him to court if they had any case against him in accordance with sections 35 (1) (c) (3) (4) (5) (a) (b) and 36 of the Constitution.

He is on the alternative seeking for an order compelling the respondents to immediately release him unconditionally in the absence of any offence that will warrant his being charged to court.

Evans is contending that his continued detention by the respondents since June 10, 2017, without being charged to court or released on bail was an infringement on his fundamental human rights.

The suspected kidnap kingpin who had evaded arrest for a long time, was eventually arrested at his Magodo Estate home in Lagos on Saturday, June 10, 2017 after an intense gun battle between his gang and special detachments of the Nigeria Police Force.

The 36-year-old kingpin has also revealed his involvement in drug trafficking and robberies.

Crime / Who Supplies Evans Assorted Shirts In Police Detention? Nigerians Ask (Photos) by denis2: 12:56am On Jun 23, 2017
Self-confessed kidnap kingpin, Chukwudi Onuamadike, popularly known as Evans, has a very high taste in many things. His elegantly furnished mansion says it all.

It has been reported that the suspect cried and lamented that he is now locked among common criminals.

Perhaps he feels humiliated that his dignity, self esteem and ego have been badly battered.

But can the same be said of his fashion?

It’s been 12 days since he was caught, but on the three main occasions that Evans has had to make public appearances since his arrest, he has appeared in different shirts and a pair of jeans trousers that don’t seem to get dirty.

In the first photos of his arrest shared online, he appeared in a striped shirt. When he was paraded publicly for the first time on Sunday, June 11, he wore a baby pink striped shirt.

When he was interviewed by several media houses, he wore a turquoise blue and white striped shirt.

He repeated the baby pink shirt on the day he took the police to some of his operational hideouts.

Above all, the neat and well kept appearance of the kidnapping kingpin, even under inauspicious conditions, speaks highly of his sophisticated taste.

The question is: Who supplies Evans the change of clothes in detention?

Education / JAMB Reschedules Examination For 62,140 Candidates by denis2: 1:17am On Jun 15, 2017
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) yesterday said that 62,140 candidates, who had issues with late registration, biometric non-verification and cancellation of results would have to rewrite the examination.

The board said the rescheduled examination would hold on 1st of July 2017 across the candidates’ centres.

JAMB Registrar Is-haq Oloyede spoke yesterday after a meeting of the board’s management with chief external examiners and other major stakeholders on the conduct of 2017 UTME, at its headquarters, Bwari, Abuja.

Oloyede said the meeting candidates approved the cancellation of the results of 1,386 candidates for examination
He added that these candidates would not be allowed to rewrite the examination.

The JAMB registrar said: “The meeting approved the cancellation of the results of 1,386 individual candidates found culpable of examination malpractice. The cancellation of results of 57,646 in centres-induced malpractice. The cancellation of the two results of the 666 candidates engaged in multiple examinations.

“The meeting also agreed on the rescheduling of examination for candidates of centres with mass malpractice, but who are deemed innocent, biometric non-verification machine related issues, late registration, four lost sessions in three centres due to malfunctioning of three servers at the centre and incomplete results.”

According to him, the meeting also approved the delisting of 48 computer based test centres from participating in JAMB examination because of various infractions.

“The meeting approved the suspension of 24 computer based test centres for one year due to technical issues. These centres would not participate in the 2018 unified tertiary matriculation examination but they can be reconsidered for 2019 and above.

The delisting of 48 centres from participating in the board’s examination in future as a result of serious technical deficiencies, extortion, organised examination malpractices and other damaging infractions,” he added.
