Hehe it can be tricky but overall straightforward. Just like IELTS, attitude towards it matters.

Haven't taking quite a few tests/exams here, I have come to see exams here are largely straightforward. There's hardly a catch. There'd be clear instructions on what's needed to pass. You do them and that's it.
exactly. Exams or tests are set out to make you pass because they are all based on the instructions given. Unlike My home where exams and things like that is usually hide and seek 😀

Hi All,

Please any recommendations to deliver a car from Glasgow to Leeds ? It's about 200+ miles.

Thanks.
If bought from a dealer, ask them and they’ll deliver it at the cheapest possible price. You can use Anyvan dot com to get your car delivered too.

UPDATE on Visa switch within the uk after curtailment

After a year plus in the uk with an unreliable employer that brought us in. No shifts, excuses, pregnancy redundancy etc. sought for cos for over a year and we no see. Decided to back down. Shockingly the employer curtailed our leaved without prior information. Para entered body as we have kids, properties etc. the day the we got the email from home office with 4 attachments of the curtailment letters, I was shocked, couldn't work, lost hope felt like my life has been cut short.
I came back home and told my wife that we MUST get cos within 7days if we apply the same strategy we used when we got from Nigeria. We swung into action, met a solicitor in London, that one too carry more para join our existing para say make we use our uk born baby get papers bla bla bla. I went through all the immigration laws, council website, citizen advice and even found out a help on it for displaced carers etc. from same website, it took me to another website that showed licenced health and care employers in the uk only. I had to add some tech skills in my search, applying to every part of uk from England to northern Ireland to Scotland to wales and gracefully I got this employer that is leaving 30 mins walk away from us, listened to our story, had interview and gave offer followed by a cos without a dime. Infact we told the employer we would pay isc after it was assigned, employer no gree I started suspecting the COS sef. All of these happened within 5 days. The employer assigned the cos and kept quiet. After like 3 more days we asked the employer about the way forward and employer said it has been done. We said ah ah, send us the document naaa, boom email entered and it was it. Employer hasn't done it before and we appeared to be the first to be assigned by the company, lots of mistakes including sub category, work duration (1 year then corrected to 3 years) and missing ISC charge. Sponsor note was added and we applied with priority as our 60 days is already counting down. Then emailed isc admin and business helpdesk including work sponsor team concerning the isc error and the payment ref that was made after the error. They acknowledged the email within 24 and telling us they have returned our application to case work and Within another 24 hours case worker approved it. Its been about 17days from the time of curtailment to successful application. From the time of visa application to approval was just 3 days with priority and id app identity check.
I am happy to share this post.
I hope this answers some people's question here on NL.
I am happy for you. A very big congratulations. Only you know the stress and mental stress you must have gone through before this. A very BIG congratulations. I am happy for you and your family

You don't have to post all this to the world sir. I have been in the UK since a long time and the world doesn't know. Be prepared for the roughness. Warehouse jobs and stupid care jobs. Be prepared for 3 months of regret sir. You will wish u hadn't come.
Hello Sir. It’s been 14 months. With all due respect to them, I never did warehouse nor care. I now work in a prestigious government parastatal. Lots of testimonies. I forgot to mention, I got a car too.

I’m not bragging with these, but encouraging people who have the intentions of leaving. GO FOR IT. Secure the future of your children and enjoy peace

Them suppose pin those “Do not drive alone with a provisional license”. It is very tempting, DON’T do it.

Run away from Nigerians who tell you to do it and show you examples of people doing it for long.

It’s not worth it.

It ruins so much.

I have people in the UK going through serious problems. There is no easy country for immigrants in the world. No easy country at all. People think once you travel to the UK, things will be rosy immediately. Hmn.
I have been here for 14 months now. I tell you, it is not bed of roses, but you sleep on every rose you plant, because it will flourish.

You get a decent life; health, security, finance etc. it’s worth every move for those who want to

Good morning house
Please I kind of need an advice from y’all in the Uk
I’m a software developer (mobile app developer) in Nigeria with two years of experience and I currently earn about 500k.
I started making plans on coming to the Uk via study route and I’m currently in the stage of applying for my visa. I have been very optimistic about this but last night I spent a long time thinking about it as I’m really worried about the situation I read about the Uk and where they stand with immigration.

I have been following this thread for months to understand what it’s like over there and I really hope I get a response. Thanks in advance 🙏🏾
Why don’t you apply for jobs and get sponsored from Nigeria?. Your skill set could get you one that would sponsor(pay your relocation bills and all) while also having a soft landing here. Explore job the job route

I have a question about the incoming election

Is there any penalty for not voting but be on the electoral register

I registered to vote because I needed it to improve my credit score

Are there any penalties for not voting while being on the register.
Visa will be revoked and might be sent back home

Love the conversations going on in the past few pages without any drama grin .

With the current state of NHS, please if you can afford private health care, do it for yourself and family.

We have been on the waiting list for a tonsillectomy for our baby for weeks now and apparently we have 1 more year to go.

There is just no way to fast track, despite the urgency of his situation 😕 😢
My work has made me visit the hospital quite a number of times now. My conclusion is
1. If your spouse Dey work for NHS, you suppose Dey buy ice cream for her everyday (the work there na work)

2. even emergency unit, the queues and wait time na die. Except you actually fall down and act dying. ( I saw someone do this) and it worked for him

We can all see the same screenshot that you have posted several times on the same page.

I am personally avoiding your words as I would not want to catch my kids with these kinds of words on social media, how much more an adult.

Just as you have screenshot his comment without the full context, I can screenshot all your nasty comments and share it on another thread, so people can pick on you.

It is worrisome that you are posting the same screenshot several times just to drive home your point. In the process, you have used insulting words, which are way worse than the comment you screenshot.

I can say that you are not morally qualified to call people out as you are worse than the person you are calling out.

The context is there for every normal, sane and unbiased person to make reference to. You see me posting those screenshots because halleluya members never see answer to the question. Because, their band leader Dey involved.

All the members Dey dodge d reference.
