First, know it is a sin. Give ur life to Jesus, enjoy more of the fellowship with the children of God, avoid picking their calls and stop calling them, stay away from any gathering or company that will lure you to them, and nurture your soul with Christian books that speak against immorality. Above all, forgive yourself, and when the thought to go back to this sin comes to your heart, plead the blood of Jesus against it and always thank God for redeeming you from this addiction. Whether u feel u are free from it or not, believe you are set free from it. I want you to know you have been in it for a long time, so it will take some time to overcome it. It's a gradual step. But be determined to come out of it. Wish you peace and joy in ur new life in Christ.
Occupy your mind with other things.
Forcefully create something to distract yourself from the bad habits.

Family / Re: Should A Husband Tell His Wife Everything? by God2man(m): 8:04am On Sep 30, 2018
Even God will not tell you everything because he knows you are not strong enough to contain the message, for example, there are spiritual entities moving around us every day, God will not open your eyes to see these spirit beings. God knows it will be too much for you to handle. So, he closed our spiritual eyes.

Likewise the book of Micah 7:5 " Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide : keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom "

Apostle Peter who was a married man also told us in the book of 1 Peter 3:7a "Likewise,ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge"

Of course there are some information that are very important, even financial issues you need to tell your wife but you will not be helping the union if you know that an information will be too much for your wife to handle and yet you decided to open up when it is not yet the right time to tell her.

You need to know that ways of approach of solving family issues are not the same, the way your wife will solve it may be quite different from the way you will solve it.

Let's look at Abraham, God told Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, he knew that this directive from God is too hard for Sarah to handle, he kept it away from her, even Isaac had no clue about the sacrifice, this is wisdom, I believed this information would have destroyed this family if not properly handle by Abraham.

Later, when you begin to discover your wife is getting more understanding with prayers and the help of God, you can start explaining things to her.

The truth is, the husband and wife are one, yes but you need to know that you are male and female, the body of a man is completely different from the body of a woman, you are not male and male or female and female.
There is a wide difference between husband and wife but they need to be one. That's why the Bible calls it a mystery.

You argued that he must tell you everything because you are one, oh! Yes I agreed but a loving husband must not hurt the feeling of the wife if he knows that the information is not good at a particular time.

So manage your information properly because every marriage is unique.

God bless you.

Blessingmoyo:
A message from @alibabagcfr -
Every relationship is different.
Compare only apples to apples. Don't compare apples to mangos. Everyone grows up through different influences and trajectory. The person then gets shaped by those things and become the person you then encounter. There are some people who do not experience certain things all through their growing up years, when that person in question then encounters a situation, that that experience should have strengthened them with, they get torn apart by the shock of it. Some women can take polygamy. They can be second wife, 6th wife, concubine, side chick, jilted at the altar, baby mama, widow, divorced... and continue like nothing happened. While some will break down beyond consolation. Many will break up with a guy and never date again. But there are those who take it in their strides without breaking a sweat. Stop comparing your partners to other people. The fact that Gbenga takes Kemi to go see a movie every other day doesn't mean you must insist on being taken. Because, you may just be surprised that Gbenga also doesn't pay for the movies.

So how about that? Will you also now pay for the movies? Bimbo always brings food for her husband in the office. Bless her. So because of that you are now quarrelling with your wife for not bringing you food just like Bimbo. Do you know if Bimbo's husband has a medical condition that requires food that can only be made with special recipe? Don't compare your spouse to people who have not gone through the fire your spouse went through. Angela may have been brought up to believe 30 red roses matter more than a phone. Isohen may just be one who was brought up to be practical. A phone will last longer than 100 roses.
Don't let shame make you agree to what is beyond your capacity. If your colleague bought a car for his wife, are you enabled like your colleague? If David let's his wife move to Canada and he remains here, it's not compulsory for Ahmed to let his wife move to Ireland while he remains in Kaduna. It might not work. Be guided

What an inspirational write up!

'From the critical examination of video, it was an involuntary movement from the hand of Ronaldo to the head of the defender after a gentle push from Ronaldo that made the defender to fall down.

A wise referee ought to have cautioned the two of them and issue them a yellow card.

Even this red card was later given from the instruction of the assistant referee.

There is no need for the red card.

As we are getting ready for 2019 election, we should also be ready for what will happen next, win or lose. The Government should be prepared to curtail any form of violent.

Believe it or not, the democracy of this country is passing through trouble water. Only God can heal this land.

From Lagos to North, nobody knows what will happen next.

Christians and Muslims must not sit down thinking that peace will reign, we must do something to ensure that this country is secured from any form of brouhaha.

Kemi Adeosun has come and gone in this present government.
However, she did her best before felling into Nigerians muddy and contaminated political atmosphere.
Many things are seriously wrong with the way we do things in Nigeria.
It will be difficult for us to achieve much progress as a nation if we continue in this manner of certificate syndrome.
Not that I am supporting her or anyone else who is cut in certificate mess.
But, we should know better that certificate is not a proof of your knowledge deposition.
If someone is performing at his or her field of operations, the only thing such a fellow deserves is encouragement.

If you see what some Nigerians are doing just to get a degree or certificate, you will be highly disappointed.

Is it the NYSC certificate that will help us now?

Education / Re: What I Did To Help My Child Improve In Maths by God2man(m): 8:41am On Aug 30, 2018
katekemi664:
Every parent wants to do what's best for their child.
I'm a mother of 2 and I want to share my experience with other parents of how I helped my child from bad grades to very impressive results.

Teni was really falling behind in maths and bringing home bad grades.
His teacher had communicated his struggles with me.
He was in Pry 2 at the time and had confided in me that all the kids in his class always got concepts taught except him which made him feel he wasn't smart enough.

His first term result in maths was an E followed by a D for second term.I was sincerely worried and knew I had to do something fast.

I had always known that "most good students aren't born good learners". So I had this feeling that if my child can have the basic aptitude, then with the right motivation, he can become a good learner.

My first strategy was to devote more time to his homework. When he comes back home, I allow him teach me what lessons he learnt in school for that day. With this, he experiences less control and develops confidence. He sometimes makes mistakes, but then I was always quick to correct.

I placed more emphasis on learning the basic principles, and to make it more interesting for him, I explain to him how math applies to real life. For example, I allow him figure out how many biscuits can be bought with 100 Naira, if each biscuit is sold for 50 Naira at the school kiosk.

I noticed he was gradually improving. I needed to device a new strategy since my leave was over and I had to resume work. I decided to search online for solutions and most of what I got was private tutoring.

I had once worked as a teacher in a private school so I thought to give it a try. Helping him out with his homework exposed a lot to me and made me understand why a lot of children struggle with some particular subjects.

From the lesson with him I found out that

1. One on one tutoring enables children to ask questions about their challenges without fear of environmental pressure.

2. It enables students to learn at their own pace which might not be possible in a traditional classroom setting.

3. It encourages personalized learning. No two students are same. Some are auditory learners while some are visual learners.

My son is a visual learner so I was always able to get materials to show him which he saw and touched to aid his understanding. You can teach a child a concept without getting it but if he or she sees and touches what you're talking about ,it helps a great deal and they never forget.

4. Many times lessons taught in class are time sensitive and fast moving. There might be a particular line that is crucial to helping a child understand a topic which he didn't get in class. With one on one coaching you can take the lesson as slow as necessary.

5. Flexibility of teaching methods.
One on one teaching affords you the benefit of trying several methods of teaching as against the unavoidable one size fits all method used in classrooms.

A lot of teachers won't tell you this but if only your child does not understand a topic taught in class ,sorry they have to move on to the next subject because other kids who understand are waiting. Schemes have to be covered and all.

The student carries the challenge unattended to and when it's time for exams ,I bet you know what would be of the child's performance in that subject or topic and then it will be said that the child is dull.

Believe it or not, after applying these strategies, my son got a B in maths this third term and the teachers were really surprised at the change. Thanks to the internet. You too can do the same for your child today. Cheers!

If we read 10 or 20 articles like this everyday on nairaland, nairaland would have become the best instrument for a new Nigeria.

God bless the op.
