Do a scan on the foot to determine the extent it has eaten, if it has go deep inside the best thing is amputation to save the life.

Scan has been done for about 2 days now, doctors keep saying result isn’t out and he is in pain. Not eaten or sleep for almost a week now.

doctokwus:
Depends on how far the gangrene has gone and if it's determined the diabetes cannot or is getting difficult to control.
Once it's determined to be gangrene, amputation is the best course of action to save the patient's life because you are looking at essentially a dead foot, toe or even leg still being harboured by the body.
The "deadness" would continue spreading because it's caused by toxins that have essentially eaten up the flesh. They rapidly multiply and look for other healthy parts to continue guzzling up till they basically shut down the person's entire system.
But of course,a doctor can only advice a patient on what he/she considers the best course of action to preserve life first and health as best as possible. The decision cannot be forced or imposed on the person so long he/she has been made aware of possible outcomes of refusing a course of management.
Wishing your friend the best but still tell him the risk to his life, unless it's not gangrene.

It’s over a week now and he’s in pain. embarassed

I’m not in the hospital as I’m in another state and I’ve not been comfortable with what I’m hearing about the whole thing.

Health / Can A Diabetic Foot Be Treated Or Best Amputated? by HomoSapiien: 1:19pm On Sep 23, 2023
There’s a brother of mine who’s been admitted to the hospital for about a week now. Man is pain.

He’s always been diabetic but the foot got worse this past week and he’s been admitted. Unable to eat and sleep. I’m really scared for him.

Doctor gave advice that the foot is amputated to prevent the spread to the entire leg, but his families are objecting to this saying that they’d prefer to treat him.

My question is, is it best to treat him or get the leg amputated?

What are the chances of his survival doctors in the house?

Romance / Re: What Advice Do You Have For A 35 Year Old With No Job, No Skill, No Wife . by HomoSapiien: 11:14am On Jul 29, 2023
my brother was over 35, married with 4 children and had no jobs.

he had just lost his business to scam before he got married. he gave birth to 2 twins consequtively after marriage. still with anything tangible that brings money.

he had to go and learn a skill, and within 6 months and can do spirit, he was back on his feet. he has a permant business now and another side hustle that brings income.

i think your friend should not waste time looking at his age. he should spend time looking for every means possible for something legit with a can do spirit and the hope that better days are coming. he should be humble most especially enough to be willing to bow for people he is older that in so far he stands to gain more from their than being prideful.

The daily limit on withdrawal is actually a good idea. This has drastically reduced kidnapping and other forms of criminal activities in the country.

Politics / 2023 Presidential Election Is Better Than 2015 And 2019 Elections by HomoSapiien: 7:21am On Mar 03, 2023
We have had worse elections since the beginning of the fourth republic.

OBJ turned political elections to do or die affairs in 2003 and 2007. I remember politicians getting assassinated every election cycle. I remember watching ballot boxes getting snatched.

There’s even a video of OBJ that’s circulating recently in 2010, where he was boasting about election rigging and why his one party system in the country is okay.

In 2011, we all saw imaginary millions of votes coming from the East to Jonathan.

I’m 2015, we all saw how voters were suppressed, INEC officials were killed, ballot boxes were snatched and fake millions votes were churned out.

It was even more worse in 2019 as similar to 2015, lots of INEC staffs were killed and as usual, voters were suppressed and ballot boxes were snatched.

However this last month election, although with its irregularities too, buts it was very minimal compared to what we’ve been having in the past.

Except some parts of Lagos, largely over the country, there was less ballot box snatches, less voter suppression and less of INEC staff’s getting killed or even voters getting killed. Otherwise you would have seen obidients sharing images of those killed and images of ballot box snatches.

Also there was less fake votes churned out. The BVAS has been able to checkmate the accredited voters which was unlike before, this is the more reason why we didn’t see millions of votes from the KKK states, and even more Borno. Go and check other years, there was more votes from these states in the past years, it is different this year, probably because if you’re not captured on BVAS unlike in the past, you’ll not vote.

The fact that we have made a lot of progress from how it used to be should be applauded. We still have some issues to fixed, but of course, we could not have fixed everything at once. But the fact that there was less INEC staffs, voters and political agents getting killed, also the fact that there’s a reduction in all those fake millions votes, I think we’ve made progress and it will only get better.

This that are not happy with the result should go to court and stop crying on national TV.

Obi knows in his heart of heart that he’s using this 2023 campaign as an awareness and a political seed for the bigger jam to come in 2027.
I see the PDP rallying and begging him to return back after this election. The simple reason is, Obi remains the most sellable candidate from the south for any major opposition party in the presidential contest for 2027.

He’ll by then have disappeared into thin air. This is the only chance he gets.

People will vote Tinubu more that they'd vote for Obi. I promise you that.

Tinubu has sold his achievements and he's been supported by people that believe he can replicate his achievements in the country. That's what we need now.

that's true. All the negative past events is enough for apc to be removed from power by another party.

Tinubu has been able to disassociate himself for the catastrophic government of Buhari. He sold his achievements in Lagos as the bases for why we should vote for him. He was able to separate himself from Buhari. He hardly even claim Buhari achievement.

This made people believe in him more and most people are voting APC because of him and not based on party.
