~Silly/Funny,Nevertheless ave come to believe in some Superstitions !!!

~Growing up,i cudnt help but be very much aware of some if not all,it was instilled in us,to scare us more like 

~Am sure i'll find that  am familiar with some of your posts here,N am actually amazed it's not only in my culture these supertitions R believed,almost every culture has superstitions they believe In Or Heard ,Wut R Yours N what do they mean???

~Here R Some of the more Popular Superstitions,i grew up been Very aware of!!


~Opening an umbrella in the house >>u might not get married

~Sweepin at night >> means u're sweeping away good luck

~Turned over shoes/slipper >>> death on your parents

~Neddles/Blades R not sold at night at All >>connected to witchcraft

~Pregnant women walkin alone at night should hold on to a stone/pebble/penknife ,lol >>prevent evil spirits from harmin baby

~If u hit/trip your right foot on your way visiting someone >> good luck

~If u hit/trip your left foot on your way visiting someone >> person might not b there/badluck

~If your eye twitches >>your about to see someone u avent seen in a long while

~If your right palm itches >> your about to get some money that stays

~If your left palm itches >>your about to get money But will be spent as soon as u get it {the itchy palm one i actually believe in,it always happens for me  mayb mind over matter,  but everytime my hand itches am bound to get some money  }

~If your palm itches,rub it on your forehead in a circular motion for the money to come faster,lol

~Always say "Touch wood"/actually touch soomething made of wood if u ever say/think somethink negative that hasnt happened to u /anyone u know >>avoid ill luck

~Never Put Your bag on the floor >> You'll be broke   

~A really funny one i remember is
~ A Pregnant woman shudnt eat Too much Plantains >> if she has a son,he'll be as endowed as the shape of a Plantain

~Lol where did peeps come up w/ these beliefs!! Am amazed at how some peeps take these things so serious,{Me included BTW}you'd never catch them goin against these beliefs!!

~If you break say a glass/plate >> means something bad's about to happen

~If an elderly person/adult falls >> death/ terrible news

~If someone jumps over you,say while lying on the floor,they should immediately jump over you again >> avoid death

~If a dog/s howling,somtimes in union  >> death in the house/neighbour/area

~{i Actaully believe this!! dogs can sense something,don't ask me what,i aint got a clue watched a programme that made my belief stronger too,this dog iin a home sensed when each occupant was about to die N would sit outside their rooms, wailing ~}

i used to believe that if you had long hair, you were a winch. . .

i was never superstitious but i've heard:
if you step on a crack on the ground, you'll crack you're mother's back.
walking under ladders means bad luck
opening an umbrella indoors means bad luck
if a black cat walks your path means bad luck
number 7 is good luck, number 13 is bad luck
