Intercontinental bank are a sham. Their books are cooked. Their balance sheet and P&L paints such a beautiful picture that they must be liars! No wonder they would stoop so low as to send threatening emails. Like bank, like employees. |

Here's the text of the email from Intercontinental Bank's Corporate Affairs Departmemt I guess u are mistaken the identity of who sent u d mail, if u check properly u'll notice dat its not their coperate affairs dept because they were only copied in d mail. maybe u should just tk dis ur fight easy and give urself some break. it looks to me dat u are trying too hard to make ur point. people are not dumbs, dey can discern d truth from mere rumours dat have hidden motives. if u say CBN is currently going tru their records, i think dat is just normal to actually ascertain and finally put to rest all dis rumours about Intercontinental bank. with all due respect, Please let us wait and hear from more informed people who may not be biased. as for d mail, dats just a concerned staff responding to u and not intercontinental as a bank. am sure u know dat. |

I think if anyone knows the implication of trying to bring down a bank with stupid rumours like this one, they would desist from this nonsense! The strength of a bank is based on perception. If a bank is very healthy, and a rumour like this one spreads successfully, depositors would withdraw their monies and the hitherto healthy bank would be in danger! Under normal circumstances,even in the USA the blogger who spread this kind of rumor would be arrested! |

@df2006 Dont get me wrong, as for difference btw a staff and his employer, it is not to be defined to u. what am pointing out is the fact that personal opinions are not same as corporate position. But we should understand dat the Pull Him Down syndrome will only kill dis country d more. the fact is dat no financial institution can survive a run on dem. If rumours like dis are allowed to continue and dey succeed in running intercontinental down, it wont be the end. who knows d next bank dat will be faced. I think we should be more productive with our time. |

pls no one should feel sorry for any bank. let them all fail U seem not to get it! If a bank is sick, its left for the regulatory body to act. But how do u explain when a bank is killed by rumour mongers. If u understand how d business of banking is been run, u will know dat it is not possible for any bank (anywhere in d world) to pay back all its depositors if dey wish to withdraw at the same time. Dis is what happens when rumour mongers take on a bank. Depositors request for their money almost at the same time. Tis run on d bank will only succeed in killing d bank. So choose ur calling in life! |

So sending death threats is a way to stop the rumors abi? dat was just a concerned staff's reaction, which does not necessarily represent the organisation's opinion. Lets not act as if we cannot discern the truth from falsehood. There are more selfish intents to all this. its just obvious forget your CIB. the question is what do u want to achieve with it? with Ur qualification, I expect you to be the one to educate the forum on how to identify a sick or failing bank. I mean more informed opinions and not all d one lines we get with no valid or informed points in dem. Please lets face it. this forum should not be an avenue to pass insults or selfish motives, rather people should be able to be well informed when dey participate in discussions here. thank u. |

Its shows how jobless the person was @ work and if this is actually true,he is tarnishing the bank's image.Hope you know the repercussion of using company email account sending such message(threat message). intercontinental management need to find the fool who sent this message cuz he has just broken the rules of the company if they want to keep their reputation .Haba,using it to send threat message(that is just too much). Cuz this blogger can make this a vey big case and the banks reputation would be @ stake. The stupid staff is just a f--king employee. He should leave it to its board of director to solve this(which i am sure they would never send dead threats) Very stupid Staff Rumor or no Rumor,They have no right to threaten anybody. I agree with u, that employee has actually shown how unprofessional he/she is. am sure the management of his organisation will certainly sanction him for such an unprofessional act. |

If the bank are claiming not to have issues the threat via email, whoever is responsible should be fished out and made to face disciplinary actions It is a sackable offence in most organisation and establishments, misuse of IT facilities! |

I doubt the authenticity of this email. Where is the 'From' in the detail? How come 'To' is attached to dayo's name showing up as 'todayo'? Why does the subject line have 'RE' if it is an initial email? I have a gmail account, however the show details does not work like this. Just my thought. |

The bank should sue the blogger for libelous writing! He would be sentenced to jail! Any advanced country knows the implications of this kind of criminal act by the blogger! Intercontinental bank is a private company directly employing over 4000 nigerians.It is not a government agency.
