WASHINGTON -- Breaking two and a half decades of silence, former Liberian president and accused war criminal Charles G. Taylor said today that his infamous prison break from the Plymouth County Correctional Facility in 1985 was aided by the US government, addressing for the first time widely circulated conspiracy theories about his return to Liberia. http://www.boston.com/news/politics/politicalintelligence/2009/07/liberias_charle.html "I am calling it my release because I didn't break out," Taylor, 61, told the Special Court for Sierra Leone of the episode that has long been alleged to have been orchestrated by the US government. Taylor's escape took place only days before his friend and Liberian military leader, Thomas Quiwonkpa, staged an unsuccessful coup against the Liberian government of President Samuel Doe in November 1985. Taylor alleged that the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was working with, and arming, Quiwonkpa to overthrow the Doe government in the months leading up to the coup attempt. this is already well know. the moment he accept the offer to come back Liberia, he just have to continue to serve his masters. he stopped serving his masters, the rest we know now. He is not even charged for crime in his country, they cant find any, but for crime in next door country. lesson to would be IMPERIALIST servants, once you start, you cant give it up! Atleast, it worked for OBJ. He never stopped! |

My uncle has lived in Maiduguri for over 30 years and till today he doesnt know where Ngula Ngala is. but that is where they caught Charles Taylor and claimed he drove all the way from calabar. I've driven from maiduguri to the east and i know the amount of military personel, police amd mopol on the road. you must be stopped at all points. How did Taylor manange to beat them all |

As far as I am concern,Charles Taylor,his son and his rebels were the ones shooting and eating the hearts of innocent Liberians and chopping innocent Sierra Leoneans hands off. One question that keeps banging in my head is WHY? Why do we allow animals rise up amongst us, kill our talented ones like weeds and drag us back centuries? Why can we not see that all of this is a cruel master plan of divide and rule? Why after all these years do the same tricks work on us? Why after so much sweat, tears, blood and sorrow can we not look within to ourselves, one another for support and sustenance? Why do we, like trained dogs gun for our neighbour just because they are from a different culture? Why do we have no faith in our own ideas and instead trust those who will sell us? There are many questions for Africa to answer. |

Charles Taylor is not the first and would not be the last used and dumped by the CIA we can only hope that we would have less and less number of traitors in Africa, frankly i am looking forward to the day that Africans would sit down, and decide to re-draw the map of Africa by re-creating countries based on their related ethnic groups and erasing old boundaries created by colonials. considering that the structure on ground was specifically created to ensure that Africa would always have problems internally doing to strive between competing ethnic groups and people. It still does not hide the fact that Charles Taylor is complicit in the crimes. All these is the reason that i sometimes suspect that the current problems in the niger delta might also actually have something to do with foreign powers for the following reasons. - Niger Delta militants seem to be more equipped than even our own army. - They are yet to be banned by foreign countries. - Illegal oil bunkering is still striving and the truth is that its takes a lot of resources to succeed in international oil bunkering, hence one way or another their are foreign co-conspirators in the whole Niger Delta saga. - Some people seem to think that because something is called a conspiracy theory then it means it is false, at least it is good that Charles Taylor is confirming a few theories. - The West is always looking for ways to steal African resources, hence they would always use the CIA to forment trouble, create instability and thus create an avenue for stealing of resources through their african stooges or dictators. - That is why i would have respect for MEND the moment they start going after people like Ibori, Odili and co, cus until that is done its remains just a money making scheme used to scam ND people into thinking that they are actually fighting for them. |

Only God knows what is wrong with most of African Leaders, they are so corrupt, blood thirsty, selfish and deluded. Charles Taylor was meant to overthrow the brutal regime of Samuel Doe and bring peace/reconciliation to Liberia, instead he went ahead to oppress, cannibalise and executes his own people at will. Who will save us Africans from this brutal regimes? sometimes i wonder may be the black race is suffering from some sort of curse. Only few African countries have genuine democracy, a large percentage of Africans are living in poverty. However, it is a known fact that the CIA, M15, Russian intelligence and even now China are involved in African affairs but when are we going to wake up and stop killing, torturing and maimimg ourselves?. Isn't this as stupid as claiming because some believe Obasanjo helped Yar adua get the seat, Obasanjo is to blame for Yar adua's inaction and continued ineptitude? Even if it is found that the CIA did help Taylor get into office, did the CIA perpetrate all these attrocities against his own people? Come on!!! If I got the CIA to help me into office today, would the CIA be to blame if I allow power corrupt me tommorow so I become even worse than Charles Taylor, Mugabe and others like them? Can we please start thinking rather than continuing to fuel our delusions with sick and irrational conclusions that continue to keep us were we remain? |
