If lack of trust is there at this early stage, when do you think you will start trusting her. keep ur mind open, if she is demanding for 1mill just give her 500k and see how things will unfold but dont let her know you gave her half of what she demanded cos you are not married yet.

Yes if you cared enough--but you must consider it a "gift" not to be repaid. If you have a broken engagement--see it as "tithing"! No hard feelings. Only part with what you can afford to miss.

Just in case, wait till you're married. There will be fewer complications that way. Why give the money now?

I don't think anything is wrong with giving your fiancee money to trade with. Certainly, I want to believe that you know everything you do, you have to do it wholeheartedly without having to shield under any kind of pretense -- you have to let your mind be clear of any kind of doubts before you give it to her.

Subsequently, you have to ask yourself some questions:

**What kind of business is she going to do?
** Does she have the required experience; has she been involved in it?
** How favorable is the region of her proposed business for what she's venturing in?
** How well can she manage money?
** Does she have dependents? e.g., family etc.,
** Is she a material freak?(every woman, I think, is materialistic; but some are freaks of it)
** How long have you been in this relationship to know it'll end up in marriage?
** Is she hardworking, initiative, creative, smart and intelligent?
** How can she turn a failure-looking situation into a potential success?

I have to let you know that, you shouldn't expose this to your friends or they will poison your mind and let you act otherwise; you have to take your decision based on what you find out about her relativity with the business line she wants to get on.
