Bros, how you do the calculations? It’s 45k for transportation, if he spend on average N500 on lunch, that is another 15k, for a net of 60k.

20 working days

13 years experience as what?
A secretary or typist?

Also the kind of organization you got your experience matters. If you spent 13yrs in a one man’s business in Ilorin, do not be surprised if a reputable organization doesn’t rate that experience.

This is asides other factors.

Why you dey insult ilorin?

Can a graduate with over 13 years working experience accept job offer of N85,000 monthly salary simply because the person's company had challenges and is out of job.

The daily transport to and fro to work is atleast N1,500 and such a person will still have to buy and eat morning and afternoon food, dress well and has a family. Above all, because of traffic and distance to workplace, such a person will be leaving house atleast by 5am and coming home can reach 10pm.

Is it worth it?,Kindly advise

Bro...if u see 85k job, abeg grab am,with time u will know how to balance things up and source for better offers...to see 85k job for Lagos no easy,I dunno your location sha..

If you have a 13yrs experience in any circle you should not be thinking of still finding a job. You should be setting one up yourself. Otherwise what have you been "experiencing" for 13yrs.

Any job you are doing makes you an apprentice. Study it while earning. learn more, ask questions within your circles. Read books about it. Expand yourself aside what is defined as your enclave. So that in no time you may know more than your equals. Try out something as a sample experience. Believe. Work some more. Be honest. Stay faithful to the course. The "spirit" of the "thing". It reads you as you read it. Integrate well with it. But whatever you do. Let money not be your primary motivation alone. Let love for what you are doing be your guide.

OP, most people telling you No dont take it, will not help you o. When you start begging, same people will tell you find sometin to do no matter how small. You alone know how your situation is. If it can solve some of your problem in the mean time.. please take it not for a long run. Then you can re strategise.

It depends on the industry and how desperate the job seeker is for the job.

When I have 13yrs experience in my current industry, there's no way I'll accept anything less than 400k.

Most importantly, find small accommodation near your place of work.

Stop going from Ikorodu to island everyday. It's neither good for your health nor your pocket.

The thing is, there is hunger in the land Buhari is buying weapons to kill the hunger.

Anyway, most of you won't get out of poverty. 90% will be locked in poverty forever. it is gonna get worst.

A time will come when you won't even have a place to sell akara.

It is only communism that can safe you people in Africa

With communism, the salary scale will be almost the same no matter the nature of your job.

follow by serious nation building in the next 100 years when everyone will be converted to a friend and not tribal identity.

13yrs working experience but no job still contemplating to take up the available to get the desirable. I beg enjoy your life where you are on your way to where you are going. Even PhD holders are doing 50k job in Buhari's economy.. Focus on your future and have a vision for your life. . In once dropped out of 13k job many years ago to take on 4k job, today the story has changed on same job..good things can be packaged in a bad way just to test your faith.

take the job. It is better than staying at home and being dependent. While on it, with his experience, he will land a big job.

Can't you just create a job and save yourself this headache? What da f*** is tp @1500 per day for 85k job per month? A graduate should be able to think of something and save his head. I don't like hearing or reading this kind of stuff. If you can write simple articles of 1500-2000 words, pls get in touch. Trust me, it's going to be better than this so-called salary job.

Belafonte:
If after 13 years, you have not been able to increase your skill level to a point where employers would be scared of offering you 85k, then that's what you deserve.

Everyday you go to work, you must actively develop yourself to be worth what you want to earn from life.

Nobody pays you for time, they pay for your value. If you are worth 850k to them they'll pay you 850k. That is the reality. If you believe you are undervalued where you are, then prove it by offering your service and skills to other employers and see if they jump at your offer or not.

You don't determine your value, the market does.

Na lie, a big fat lie.
I don't know about you, for me I determine my value through my personal convictions, who I am, and what I can offer to myself and the world and I don't give a damn if you think me less or more because I believe I'm the best in my choosing career and I'm working hard passionately every day to improve.

In as much as I believe that working for anyone belittles me personally and my ease of making money all by myself without a regular job, when it comes to working for anyone or when an employer feels that they cannot see my values, I move without wasting time as simple as that.

The bottom line - Fvck salary or regular job.

Out and peace...
