Hello, you that read but didn't confirm the authenticity of the news, where has that led you huh?

Can you kindly go to the website (netblocks) and instead of twitter, put Facebook or any other option check if he figure isn't same. The website is static.
Ur second paragraph is confusing but let me guess u are still talking of the authenticity and in that case, u were not getting something based on ur previous comment where u attributed the amount lost as effects on advertisement and promos on Twitter whereas the mother write up actually made it clear that such amount got lost due to the high expense of the technology needed to restrict Nigerians from using Twitter n not on business. No fighting, I like anybody wey correct me especially without provocations l guess u do same

Even Twitter is losing aggressively too not only Nigeria

Twitter's worldwide revenue breakdown by geographical area shows that US and Japan accounts for about 70% of revenue leaving the other 30% to "other world". Even at that, Nigeria did not make it to the top 20 of other world. Given our economy and exchange rate, I don't think revenue from Nigeria makes any meaningful impact, hence why no significant move from Twitter. Don't overestimate our relevance when it comes to this matter.

this govt is just stupid in everything. Mark my word this ban will impact on Apc so much that they will struggle to get people to launder the image of their presidential candidate during election, when this ban is lifted.

Stop exposing your level of exposure. Nigeria is key to any global economically or politically interested body. Please come out of your room and see the world. Mentioned 3 globally recognized bodies that has no interest or presence in Nigeria.

This is one sided analysis, they should also state how much Nigerians have saved for not using Twitter.
the only smart post on the topic.
Nigerians generally use more emotion than brain.

Twitter is losing more.

Nigerians still have access to twitter to advertise their small scale stuff from the hashtags. but all the companies from Nigeria that pay twitter to advertise their products have all stopped using Twitter.

E.g
MTN Airtel Glo jumia and all multi national coperations who advertise heavily on twitter have all stopped using Twitter all together to advertise or reach out to customers.

Those are the people that twitter make their money from.

That's why twitter has resulted to propaganda articles like this to put pressure on the government instead of doing the right thing by begging.

Lmao.. Did you say Nigeria is key to any global economically or politically interested body? With it's highest poverty rate stricken economy? What they are interested in is exploiting you because of the population not that they value you... Meanwhile, they have these interest, yet it's either they're closing shop or porting over to Ghana our next door neighbor. Continue okay.

This is an exaggeration, if not outright lies. What businesses are Nigerians really doing on Twitter?
The only one I can think of is advertising of goods.

Moreover Nigerians are more active on Facebook far more than they on Twitter.

If twitter is banned is Facebook banned? It's Instagram banned?

There are a lot of half truths and lies on the internet. We should be careful of the kind of news we read.

Nigerians may have lost 150 billion? That's just laughable.

It's very possible, if not more. Don't trivialize the little sales/business transactions that happen here and there via the social media including Twitter. If you were experienced you would understand better, but it sounds a lot like you are not. I can assure you that more sales happen on Twitter and Instagram than on Facebook. You can't sit somewhere and assume what ever your obvious little mind can comprehend must be fact. There's a lot happening that you clearly know nothing of I assure you.

FG should be concerned really. This is about reducing unemployment and improved social welfare for the people. They have to survive before paying tax. Sometimes the overall impact of such on households and the economy outweighs fiscal considerations.

If it's about registration and tax of twitter, they can find a way around it.

Its affecting everybody, a friend of mine who runs a viewing centre find it difficult to show Chelsea vs Tottenham match just because with VPN you can't connect your smart TV with cast,

On sunday during arsenal vs Chelsea match we bought the right on 5th stand but after collecting 100 naira and paying up to 5k with fuel it didn't worth it so we decided to view it through hesgoal or any free stream but at first half dunk showed and went off in half time so i discovered twitter site playing it but you can connect with VPN and you can't connect WiFi while VPN is on so therefore we can't connect the cast on the TV

Na so we lost money yesterday......
Chaiii embarassedThis isn't funny at all. Try opera app, it comes with free vpn, I normally use it these days for my twitter...connect through my laptop, see if it can help.

I always go back to that video and there's something I noticed. The way he stormed in and went straight to talk about the Twitter thing.
I've never seen them swing into action that fast when there are cases of killings by police and Fulani herdsmen. Nigeria isn't worth dying for.

150 billion? No, it is not triviality.
You that is experienced what understanding do you have? Sales of of what, that would amount to 150 billion lost between June and July. I am not counting august because August just started.

Keep believing the lies you are fed.
