PRESIDENT BUHARI WITH ILLICIT BORROWING ! SENATOR AHMED LAWAN is blinded by northern loyalty and respect for President Buhari and he keeps approving every loan request from President Buhari. Senator Lawan failed to realise that his name will be called out someday as a principal figure who helped in condoning and supporting President Buhari government to take huge loans without a proper plan on how the funds will be spent. Senator Lawan has no excuse to exonerate himself from this reckless attitude of the Buhari government and he should join Buhari to pay back the money to the lender when the time comes. It is not every loan request that senator Ahmed Lawan and his collegues in the hallowed chambers of the national assembly must approve. They must debate these loans, question it relevance and refuse their assent when it fails the viability test. The senate must spend time to discuss the viability of these loans especially in the areas the money is to be spent on. Buhari is so ethnicized that he will use Nigeria to borrow money but he will spend the money on his own northern region especially in fulani areas. There is no harm in taking loans so long as the vision is there to produce the result that can lift Nigeria from the present economic challenges. Foreign countries including the industrialized countries do take loan to meet project demand. But when a leader of a country is a DAFT without a sound economic idea like the person of President Muhammadu Buhari it become worrisome for a country like Nigeria. I will continue to fault President Buhari on the way and manner he goes about borrowing from China and European government. THE COST OF GOVERNANCE IN NIGERIA IS TOO HIGH OF WHICH IT SHOULD BE REDUCE TO ITS MINIMUN.. POLITICIANS ARE PLUNGING CHILDREN UNBORN IN NIGERIA AND COMING GENERATION TO NEEDLESS DEBT. Senator Ahmed Lawan must become a statemen to challenge Buhari on these illicit borrowing of money from foreign countries. Buhari is not making progress with the borrowed fund as gross mismanagement of the loans money has become the order of the day. Thievery, stealing and looting of public funds is taking place with Buhari not educated enough to know the magnitude of the stealing of public fund. BUHARI IS IN HIS LAST STAGE IN OFFICE. Just less than 2 years is remaining in the life of the Buhari government and I am wondering what is the relevance of these loans when the government is at its last stage in office. Will these funds that is proposed to be borrowed not enter the bank account of senior federal government officials and their political cronies? President Buhari and the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed should tread with caution. FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS TAKING TOO MANY LOANS AND GETTING NIGERIA HIGHLY INDEBTED. NIGERIAN NAIRA NOW EXCHANGE FOR N550 TO A USA DOLLAR and the federal government is not thinking of generating adequate electricity that will create and sustain industries and support job creation. 1 Like |

This reminds me of that story of the 2 well diggers who after digging a well, were thinking of how to get rid of the soil they had dug up and decided the best solution is to dig a bigger hole They dug a bigger hole and poured the soil from the well into that hole and ssome of the soil from the new hole. Of course there was still a lot left so they thought up another "bright idea" which is yo big a much bigger hole than the other 2. One that will contain soil from the second and third holes. So they did, and when they had filled up that hole they were "surprised" that they had soil leftover |

Naira will soon become more useless than Zimbabwean or Venezuelan currencies with the way things are going. The thieves are borrowing money to squandered aimlessly and fund lavish baboon parties. Not to invest wisely in infrastructural and human development. The oil on the other is on a downward spiral into oblivion with oyinbos bent on finding alternative and greener sources of power generation. The country is half-empty glass at the moment, a tip on either side could mean a make or break moment. |
