BREAKING: Sokoto State Shuts Down Telecommunication Networks After Zamfara, Katsina | Sahara Reporters

Mee:

The backward North continue to die due to the total uselessness of the extremely wicked and corrupt Northern Oligarchy.

The ruling Oligarchy in Northern Nigeria has failed woefully. They should have covered their faces in shame but do these notorious treasury looters and economic terrorists have shame?

The wicked Northern Oligarchy deliberately refused to educate the children of the poor, some of these children are today murderous armed bandits. These extremely wicked people educated their own children in the best Universities of the world but NO EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN OF THE POOR!

God destroy all of them! Ilahee Ameen!

Maiduguri lack electricity
As well as yobe
And I am sure some parts of kaduna is getting to that level. Zamfara has joined the league of total network shutdown!
Imagine living in a state u can’t make call or use the internet even electricity is far from the people. No form of livelihood or civilization yet, we live as one. God please, help us!

Hmm. Hope this is not a ploy to enable terr0rists massacre the villagers that killed 13 bandits yesterday.

I don't see how shutting down telecomm networks will help anything, especially since the soldiers do not even have satellite phones or any means of communicating with each other...and the bandits do.

keep calm. Its just for a while. When telecom never dey 9ja, shebi people survive? Is it not better to shutdown network than having bandicts shutdown inocent citizens?

Bandicts dwell in bushes and they need the network more than you and i for communication/ransom.

Are you people noticing a pattern? These northern governors keep shutting down telecommunication services in their states so that when the bandits attack, people cannot cry out for help. Something is definitely brewing. I just hope Nigerians are ready for what is coming though I doubt it. Dr Mailafia of blessed memory and Commodore Kunle have come out to warn Nigerians of the impending danger ahead but Nigerians are still asleep. When the war starts in 2022, Nigerians will not be able to notify loved ones because the telecommunication networks would have been shut down by the governors. Wahala dey!

So bandit terrorists continued to unleash their mayhem even with all the Isa Pantami NIN-linkage to SIM cards nonsense.Security needs intelligence e.g use of drones/GPRS tracking and not all these clueless -ness a terrorist-laden government itself is employing.

Bros, all these things u are saying are too sophisticated. U don't really need all these. Just good old commitment & patriotism is enough to flush out bandits. Haven't u seen hunters flush out bandits in zamfara without any of those sophistication until d governor stopped them from advancing against bandits?

Osetigo

Tomorrow now, Buhari and Lie will say the reason FDI has fallen like old woman's breasts is because of Endsars. How exactly do you incur investor confidence when you hold their business ransom over criminal activities of some ne'er do wells. Just imagine how much all the telcos would have lost in those areas and other areas that will be affected by the shutdown due to the fact that the areas shutdown serve as transmission hubs to them. This is absurd to say the least.
From Forex restrictions to border closure to tax increase to naira devaluation to twitter ban and now to telecoms shutdown, this govt is the worst in creating an investor friendly environment.
Only God knows what will remain of this enclave economically by 2023 with this harebrained and thoughtless policies.
The funniest part is reading that the jihadist minister who is supposed to see to the development of that sector is even giving active support to killing those telcos. Same thing he did with the NIN_SIM rubbish then when he stopped telcos from registering new subscribers on their networks.
I think it is clear now that these jihadists have nothing positive to contribute to the country other than Islamization. It is true, where Islam thrives, freedom dies.
