Good decision apply to both.
Oby2828:
After much advice, I have decided to forfeit the 1 yr pgd program I got in Nagiara to get a 2 yrs pgd in International Business Management because of my kids.

Centennial and Thompson Rivers University offers that. Which should I go for? Or should I apply to both schools?

The programs will be for Sept 2022.

Hi ppr hopefuls!
My proof of means of financial support docs have been merged, but it's 13 mb after compression.
I got 4.09 mb after compressed again, but my uncle's bank statement is not clear.
Pls, must it be below 4 mb?
We tried to get mbs at my sponsor's bank branch, but it was not possible...First bank.
We got tired, and decided to print bank statement.

Oby I know Thompson rivers can admit you for their MBA with a 2:2, in fact I am a 100% sure.
Their mba is 2 years, after the first year with good grades you would get a pgd certificate in business and after the second year an MBA certificate. Apply to them. It is a good school and I personally believe if you would spend two years studying it may as well be a masters.

Ok, Thank you so much. Meanwhile can I start working on my SOP since it’s the same course. Any gurus in the house that can help out, even at an affordable fee.
I’ve started writing though, also want a professional view on it.

Whatever you do, make sure the bank statement is clear. That's one of the most important things.

Yes, 4mb or less. It shouldnt be more.

Hello house,

I know it's important for self sponsor applicant to show the source of POF. But for someone like me that owns a business, it's a registered business with CAC but the certificate I have is only "certificate of registration of business name" it does not show my personal name. My questions are:

1. Is this what Self-sponsor applicant who owns a personal business need to submit. (see example from picture)
2. As it doesn't show owners name, how will the Visa officer knows it belongs to the applicant?
3. Is there any other documents that need to be submitted to show I own the business?

Thanks in anticipation to anyone who likes to respond to this.

My Medicals expired around September n I was able to travel October n none asked anything !

Why waste money to do medicals?
Ketima:

Noo. I won't be able to travel without valid medicals, and since I will likely travel after the expiration of medicals, I will have to do another one.

Hello Jioke

It must be 4MB..

And make sure the documents are clear, cos I have seen in a GCMS note where the Visa Officer pointed out an SOA that wasn't clear as one of the reasons for refusal....

First bank does MBS, if your branch can't do it, go to another branch.. We have First bank branches everywhere..

Better still you can take the time to go to their headquarter and do it...

Do not take chances..

Peace

@makano, tnx for your reply.
My sponsor recently travelled, and I don't know when he will come back.
I have 2 sponsors
Should I submit for my main sponsor, and use webform for my second sponsor.
Or, is there anyway I can do high compression with good quality.

When I did my 1st application in 2018, I paid my first semester school fees and my sibling a Canadian citizen was my sponsor and I was refused based on ties, travel history, purpose and assets. I didn't order my GCMS notes after going through this thread because most of what the GCMS would say is already available here. I reapplied this year. See what I did different.
I applied for a master's not PGD in which this time I did not pay any school fees but I showed home ties. I now have a child and I am engaged. Showed pictures and child birth certificate. Showed that my child and his mom are well established. Showed pictures of my parents properties and showed that I stand to inherit them and that was it . Note, they said they don't consider your course of study a reasonable expense. What did you graduate with and what are you applying for? Does it tally with work experience and or your educational background? Answer this question first. And as for the bank statement, you see this lump sum thing is two ways. If the lump sum came in today and then you apply for a visa they would see it as a red flag. I had lump sum, the difference is my lump sum came in February and when I applied in July the money was still there. What this shows is I didn't borrow it because who will borrow me 7million and leave it with me for 5months. I hope this helps a little.
Regards

Thank you for your response.... Let me explain to you... I did engineering, I am working in my field I applied for a course in engineering. Reasonable expense might be that considering all the money I have will be spent on the education I am planning to do in Canada...remember this was said from my first application.... As I feel they judged me based in only my salary .... So I had to break it down on how the money rolls in.... Now I have a business already established... I even have a company CAC... Then I had to get a new equipment to add to the existing one to show that I still plan to continue my business which I feel was a good home tie (my own thinking).... I told them about my parents as well but I did not put the pictures of parents or siblings.... But I used a sponsor that's my cousin different surname.... But I added his picture of me and him together.......I then added my finance also... Also landed properties ... Then I explained how the course I am going for will be beneficial to my current job and Nigeria at large.... And about the lump sum ... This was from the first application in my second application I stated that I have transferred all the cash to my other account so there was no any lump sum in the second application....

wow.am so sorry that inspite of ur efforts, u were delayed.however, u still need to see this ur 2nd GCMS note.while waiting for the note,if u can still leave that money there. If that money really belongs to u,please pay ur 1st year tuition fee.the V.O may be thinking u have such money and u have not paid at least ur 1st year tuition fee but only paid deposit. Also I think at this point u should consider G.I.C to demonstrate that in addition to ur school fees u have paid for ur living expenses for 1 year.

please work on ur home ties.what is bringing u back to the country after ur studies to justify all this scarce Dollars u r spending. u have to give a detailed explanation. talk about ur background more.ur Family,ur love 4 ur work or business. ppl into business could capitalize of the fact that Nigeria had the highest GDP last year ahead of of south Africa and Egypt and if u are based in Lagos for instance talk about the viability of Business in Lagos and how u are making money at the same time the available of freedom to do Good legal business as a Citizen of the most populous black country in the world living in the commercial hub of the nation with the highest G.D.P in Africa.Brag about Nigeria a bit.

Personally ,I dont think ppl talk positive things about Nigeria in their SOP which does not help.pick positive things about Nigeria that will make I come back.take advantage of what ever state u are and d good of that state to promote ur home tie.dont 4get to link it to ur Job or Business. Then give a good reason y u would want to leave this beautiful country to another country to further ur education. in my own I talk about the fact that no Nigerian University does digital marketing or offers certification on digital marketing nor have the modern digital marketing software that I need in addition to my MBA.But my university in Canada offers me a certification in Digital marketing alongside my MBA. which will promote me when I come back as there are not a lot of digital professionals in Nigeria. this is just an example of taking advantage of ur situation.

finally I will advice anyone writing an SOP to write it one or even two months before u submit ur application. Trust me, new and better ideas will keep coming and it will help u come up with a final SOP that the V.O will like.Note that the V.O always read SOP. trust me.ur SOP may be the game changer.

not everyone is a good writer remember. if u cant, look for a guru to help u.am not a guru yet so dont send SOP to me.Mekano, just mellow,Frankrobbn, annon etc are all here for professional assistance.

Thank you for all you have said .... I did work on my LOE after the first rejection... I guess more work needs to be done... I really appreciate your contribution thank you so much

Did you mention who will manage your business in your absence to ensure that money keeps coming in while you are away? You are leaving your current job, meaning no more salaries. I think you need to look into those areas. The new equipment you also bought, did you mention why you bought them and what purpose they are going to serve to support your studies?? Pls check these areas.

we always say this here,no two applications are the same.that some ppl got ppr without paying deposit does not mean u that have millions in ur account that the V.O is seeing shud not.always put in ur best in ur application. dont give the V.O any reason to deny u.if ur study is 4 one year,I see no reason y u shud not pay full tuition and if it's for 2 year, please pay at least a year.

is ur sponsor ur sibling or parent ? if it's a 3rd party, did u explain with evidence y a 3rd party would want to sponsor u?

ur Fiancee is not a tie .take note.u are not legally bounded to her.ppl that get married sometimes divorse not to talk of Fiancee.am so sorry bro but girl friend and fiancee does not hold water as a tie except if she has a child for u,then ur child becomes ur tie to her.

also I personally think it's not a good move to tell them u just started a Business. How will u just start a new business and u wanna leave it so soon. personally I will doubt ur commitment to the new business cos u have not even nurtured the business. but that's my personal opinion. The gurus will come in.

please wait 4 the note b4 u re apply but start working on ur SOP and letter of explanations from now

Thank you ....I really appreciate.... I made an initial deposit the first application then paid the first semester tuition which was what the school requested for.... About just starting a new business ... It's not like I started a new business...I mean I just got a new equipment to add to the ones I had already just to show that I keep trying to build my business even tho I plan to travel that I will be back as I am still investing in the business....I am using a third party sponsor and he made a transfer of my first semester tuition to me just to show that he is really willing to go the extra mile... I also sent them pictures of me and him
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by CalcreteJB(m): 1:44pm On Oct 28, 2021
There must be a document from CAC that shows a list of the company directors and the shares allotted to them, here your name must show. You should attach that to your CAC certificate. That's all and when writing your SOP, don't forget to mention how you plan to ensure the company keeps running in your absence to show financial flow will not stop.

Toceen2022:

Sorry about this delay. This is so disheartening to read. If you can, please go for JR. There are people on this thread that have done it successfully @RollyA is also planning to. You can contact any of them to give you a good lawyer contact to review your application and advise better.

All the best!!!

Thanks alot... A judicial review.... Does it have any consequences if it doesn't fall in one's favour ? Is there any risk of doing a judicial review?
