I do factory job back in the days. See. Most Nigerians don't know what happens in our society and how bad things are.

You sef nor talk am well here.

Do you know that it is assumed that you don't stay still, bend or rest doing these jobs?

We were so monitored in a way that you can't stand still for five minutes at all.

Break just 40 minutes and work is dusk till dawn. No idling, even for five minutes.

THE OWNER OF THIS FACTORY WAS RAKING IN ATLEAST 20-30 MILLION MONTHLY AND WAS CONTESTING FOR THE HOUSE OF REORESENTATIVES. SO IT WASNT A CASE OF A LOW PROFILE PERSON OR LACK OF FUNDS. THE AVERAGE BLACK MAN DOESN'T SEE THE NEED TO RESPECT HUMANITY. I QUITTED AFTER I ACQYIRED ALL THE KNOWLEDGE THAT MADE ME APPLY FOR THE POSITION WITHOUT A SINGLE WAGE. DID IT OUT OF SELF RESPECT.

No bending down, no standing still, nothing even as short as five minutes. After a while, most factory workers become living corpses, just walking omaround with the core of their lives yanked from them

I feel bad for our work culture

Factory work is what i can never do in my life no matter how broke i am. There was a time i was so broke someone invited me to work in the factory he works, 1k per day i was so happy. Omor when i got there, na 7pm to 7am night shift non-stop - 12 solid haaaars. God forbid bad thing.

The said guy go collect salary, use half of it pay medical bills. Factory work in Nigeria is like taking one step forward and 50 steps backwards, cos you're risking your health, limbs, heart, kidney, everything for daily bread.

Most of them in lagos are owned by chinese and indians.
Modern day slavery.
After all the labour you go home with 30-50k.
While the slave owners go home with millions..

Oga you are just lazy.

Keep Quiet.

Factory Job is for a start-up in Life's Race, I mean as a Contract Staff.

You will have to learn the techniques others who have been there use for the Job, then you save up and go do what you admire.

Na so una take dae go steal and do Yahoo.

Tell me one country that don't have factory workers.

The one I started with was 20k with daily feeding, your own even get levelz.

It's even better than doing service for a bricklayer.

All these lazy folks na una noise dae many pass.

So you work for 22 hrs daily?

You can't be serious I tell you.

Drop the name of the that company.

The max is 12 hrs daily, except you are doing overtime duty ( that one na your business ) and there are off days too, even if it's managed by Indians, Lebanese or Chinese no matter how goal driven they are, they still make sure people have time to rest.

If it's true even though I know that it can't be true, then please drop the company name make we report them asap.

Factory work is almost the same here in Germany, general standard factory working hours is 8 hours in 3 shifts.

Some factory workers here earn as much as #2,000,000 per month but the tax no be here.

You go stand all through your shift, your're only entitled to 30 mins break.

Although sha na the money go console you at the end of the month

It's alright.

Even when you are out of funds.

I think you should help him with a befitting job.

Because I don't know who's programmed to suffer and enjoy.

Wahala of Life.

I have a friend, a very strong hardworking guy, he does Site work, casting specifically, which is the hardest of all site works (decking, pillars, climbing 2 3 story etc.)
He did dry cleaning work for a couple of Days, he decided immediately that after that first month, he will stop!
This is someone I know well, a very hardworking Guy
But he said that that dry-cleaning work aint it, He was in the Ironing section, Ironing from morning till night, the Owner too na a lo pa... , use person die

Many factory works these days, are like that, most worse, it ain't about laziness at all...
Too too bad

Most of these companies ain't it, site work is still far better.
What about Disrespect and how you are treated, you can't be treated anyhow, not on that level in site
Some site work can even have a bit fun here and there

Well Let the OP speak for himself

Work for island are more likely to be better than every other place, on the average sha..
But I'm certain that site work isn't as terrible as that factory, or most factory works

1k per day is way too small for three years ago (2019 Latest).
I did site work in 2020 (casting), I got 2k per day.
No where is a person paid a day's labour in any hustling levels, 1k per day... except maybe it was not too stresful like that
1k is madness, 1500 in a few poor cases
But 1k a day? naaaa...
