Hello everyone,

Is work an essential component of your studies? YES Or NO. In the LOA, for the part of internship/practicuum; they wrote Refer to other relevant information for visa officer section, which I did and I dint get the explanation on it,well. The course is not a masters for co-op program option. Does anyone know the best option?

If it's a CO-OP, the answer is YES

If it's not a CO-OP, the answer is NO

Just what is on my mind.
They don't need further disturbance from you.

Ketima:

Hello Gbemiodula,

What it means is

Eligibility: in progress
Medical: passed
Criminality: Complete.
Info sharing: probably completed but not stated.
ADR: None

That if you don't get back from IRCC within this period, he/she( your MP) of your riding will get back with IRCC in 3months time.

But that shouldn't stop you from disturbing them with mails and webform. Some MP's put this date so you won't be disturbing them alot with your mail request as they have other tasks to do.
Don't worry, it shall end in praises

Hello Nairalanders,

Pls my programs starts by May and I wasnt able to defer my admission to September cos the school says it closed..

I asked if i can defer to Janaury, yet to get a response...

Thought the school says they can only keep tuition deposits for 8months which means January may not be possible..

Pls what do I do in this situation esp if my Study permit doesmt arrive before May session starts..

Pls I need your opinion and advise..

Thank you

Hello Papapa,

What do you mean by the bolded? You may need to explain that for better understanding.

Nevertheless, to avoid last minute rush you can defer to January if you get a nod from your school that you can differ to January. Many I know here got theirs last year Sept and they deferred to this year Sept. And they're waiting, taking their time to plan their movement.

So in a nutshell, if you won't regret differing your admission when PPR comes just after differing, then go ahead when you school gives a nod.

All the best

Good morning, all.
Application submitted via old portal.
Biometric requested, and booked appointment.
Medical - showing 'Not Required'.
Should this not be a concern to me?

However, I have gone ahead to do medical with IOM.
How will the results be communicated to them?
Any advice...please?

Uzoamaka123:
Hello Family,

Please I’ll love to get clarity on a few things as I’m currently working on my SOP .

What can someone that is single without immediate family in Nigeria use as home ties?

Mother, brother and sister all reside in the US. (Legally)

Can I use my mum’s lands as home ties? Like 2 lands? And state that I help her manage the properties or what exactly should I write.

Also, I have an online fashion business with 200-300k monthly as profit.
Can I add this as home ties?

Lastly ,
Elder brother is my sponsor . He’s single(no wife or child ) , my tuition is 30k cad for 2 years .
10k cad yearly for living expenses

Can he show exactly 40k and show proof of good job to pay the rest?

Hello Uzoamaka,

Home tie isn't just only family and for the fact that you're entire family is in USA, you can use that to your advantage.

Let me give you question you can answer that will help you take your family in USA as advantage.

1). All my(you) family is in the USA but I have chosen to go study in Canada when USA could have been easy for me to stay back after after studies. Elaborate on this. Think deep on this and come up with answers that will act in your favor to portray you just want to come to Canada, study and go back.

2). How long have your family been in the USA and only you in Nigeria? Use this to link to your business and prove why you have stayed back in Nigeria to promote and grow your business and that of your family(if any).

For family ties, do your brother, family have business in Nigeria or properties that you can say you manage for them in their absence? Be creative in your application ok.

Other home ties includes, job/work ties, businesses, assets and investment, professional organization tie ( are you member of a group, expecially in your area of study, religion group( though considered of less weight but it helps too), non governmental voluntary organization like red cross, rotary etc.

So add all that will prove you have an economic/financial ties to your country that will warrant you to come back home.

For your brother(sponsor), you have to add his pay studs, employment letter and all related to his job to show his weekly/monthly income which will enable the VO understand he can actually support your Studies.

That's my little opinion. Let gurus in the house advice you the more.

I will advise you withdraw. Documents submitted can't be retrieved. With that in mind I think it's safer to pull out and reapply. Goodluck
Onaya:
Hello NL Family,

How can I send a web form or an email to the IRCC via the new Visitor/Study Permit application portal for the modification of the supporting documents for my application?

While uploading the supporting documents for my application, I mistakenly uploaded a document (SOP) which I had reviewed for a friend, but replaced it with the intended documents immediately I noticed it before submitting my application. Unfortunately, what is recorded in the summary of my submitted application is that SOP I had clicked in error, even though I had replaced it prior to the final submission of my application by uploading the very document I had in mind. This happened just last night—on April 12, 2022. I am seriously overwhelmed by worries from this ugly outcome, and utterly confused about what next to do now.

Kindly guide me with expert advice and knowledge regarding how to rectify this problem at the earliest time possible, before the IRCC starts working on my application. Is it advisable for me to withdraw my application?

Regards,
Onaya

Good morning Nairalanders, pls has anyone apply to College of North Atlantic before? If yes how many weeks or month do they give admission and how can I prove my tires with my Aunt that's sponsoring me for my education in Canada, we don't have pics together, she was my sponsor during my undergraduate here in Nigeria so she wants to sponsor me now to Canada, she doesn't have any dependent we r only what she has. Thanks @ketima, @Afolavid

1. I've never applied there so i don't know about their admission duration.

2. The basic things used to prove ties with Aunt/Uncle are birth certificates and marriage certificates. Since you don't have pics together, you can show proofs that your Aunt sponsored you through your undergraduate studies. You can also add proofs that you're very close and communicate regularly. Additional documents like Letter of sponsorship, affidavit of sponsorship etc from your Aunt would be very useful as well.

What are the requirements and how much is one entitled to?

Generally, the bank would request for documents that shows that you are a bonafide student in Canada. They can request for your school ID card, the estimate of allowances from the school that comes with the letter of admission etc.

For instance if the estimate shows allowance of $10,000, you can process upkeep within that value based on your budget.

Guys, what is really happening?

Sometimes it feels like they have taken a break no one knows about.

The same people we see everyday waiting for a response are the same people still waiting day by day.

I don't even think mails work anymore. Webform is just formality at this point.

Most people will be resuming spring next month and they have no clue about what stage their application is right now.

At this point, pray silently, fast and hope for the best.

It's better for them to take time and be approved than for them to rush your app and be denied.

It will end in praise for everyone waiting.

For some months, I have observed a pattern of many PPRs between the third and forth week of the month, and very few in the first and second week. I am stylishly waiting till next week to see if the pattern will repeat itself.

Good afternoon everyone,

Is it advisable to pay 10,000cad out of a tution fee of 33,000 cad
The reason I want to pay the tution fee, is the fear of being refused based on financial capability.
