This thread reeks of hatred and intolerance. What happened to "I am not against you but I am not with you? For those shouting, muslims wear hijab everyday and it is a way of life not restricted to an act of worship. You are to cover your body (not wrap) when you are outside and when you are with people who are not to see the majority part of your body. If your celestial outfit is your regular day outfit, by all means wear it to school pls...and oh do not put on shoes too.

I don't know how it is paining y'all for a child that cover her head with hijab
na so e dey start, very soon them go move to establish mosque inside school etc. It's a sensitive issue that shouldn't be encouraged or better still moderated in a secular state. Make we no divide common school into Muslim and the infidels. It promotes disunity. Schools should be uniform without any segregation induced by religion. I don talk my own if you like abuse me I no go answer you. These segregation shouldn't be practised down south. We are more Yoruba than religious

Then, no need for uniform. Anyone should be able to wear anything to school.

Hehehehehe grin grin grin

Don’t be surprised if it gets to a point when you see some students coming in for classes butt nekid! And when you ask them to explain themselves, they will tell you they’re adherents of the NUDIST religion! shocked It’s a slippery slope!

Students in public schools in Lagos have been wearing hijab for years. The court ruling is useless. Meanwhile it should also be restricted to public schools because private schools will move against any plan to enforce it.

It's not Tru... Only Muslim skls wear hijab

Religion is clearly divisive with no benefits. Better they divide the schools for each religion. Make everybody dey him dey. Those that carry bible or wear hijab commit some of the worst crimes.

Supreme court decision made by Judge Kudirat, Judge Tijani Abubakar and other muslim judges.
Anyways that's their business. It means that traditionalists can also wear their amulets to school. White garment students can also wear their headgears to school..
Let the madness and vawulence be sustained. Amin..

Such schools should be closed down. As long as the law allows them to wear the hijab, anyone who wants to run any school will have to abide by the law.
You can't pick and choose which law to follow.
It's not allowed in any society.

Christistruth00:

This Judgement also means that Christians are also free to wear Crucifix Neclaces to School

If the want to wear crucifix they should, it’s their right
.
However, you are comparing two different things. A Muslim girl child have been wearing hijab right from when she’s a child and that is what you see her with always. So trying to take that off her because she’s in school is wicked and shows they are taking away her fundamental right.

If the Christian child always wear crucifix every time too, then they deserve to wear it and nobody should take away their right.

I can disagree with everything but on this one, the Supreme Court is right.

Wearing uniform at school prepares you for the world of employment where there are depending on the job, uniforms and dress codes.

Even university where you can dress freely, science and science based students have to wear lab coats, overalls, etc on occasion
