Op, ensure you feed it when you are both eating your meal.

Create a feeding cubicle for it. while feeding it, lock the cubicle and go to dinning to enjoy your own meal.

NB: let the feeding cubicle be a ventilated one; you won't like to see a mad cat after feeding ooo.

Your cat is learning bad manners from other cats in your neighborhood so stop it from mingling with bad cats ,bad company corrupt good manners so they say..

What can I do to make it stop begging for food whenever I eat?

My dear, take this from me. Feed it your own food. If it doesn't reject it, it means that it prefers it much more. Continue to feed it and I assure you whatever you spend to feed it will come back to you in multiple folds. Be extremely nice to animals. God is watching!

It's OKAY, your Cat is normal. Try different variation of food. If she still comes to you to beg, that means she deeply wants to BOND wih you. I'd be worried if it doesnt eat from your hand or rejects food given to it.

You have to be patient with your cat.
Feed the cat well and try to ignore the meowing.

Also you can feed the cat the same time you eat.

Blend hot pepper and unwashed bitter leaves and put by the side of your food whenever u are eating, if it come begging, give it the blended pepper and bitter leaf, by the time u try it 2 to 3 times, it will stop begging u your food

Back to your issue, it's behaving that way because you used to give it some of your food before. Naturally, it would get used to it. Even when it's well fed, the idea of dining with you seems fun and it also provides a bonding experience. I know this cause my bird used to do that. I suggest you make it unlearn the act by offering it what it hates the most each time it come begging. Gradually, it'll stop.
