Greetings all.
I wish someone could please help me clarify this. It's URGENT.
Thanks in advance.

For UK tourist family visa (family of 4: Parents and two kids).
DO I have to do 4 different applications for each person even the kids?
THANKS.

Depends on travel date. This is peak season and it is expected for air fares to be high. If the trip is not urgent, you can travel after the festivities or you check airlines like Et, and Qatar. You may be lucky to find something reasonable.
aderemi166:
I’m also searching for a flexible flight ticket, which airline offers this please?

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by hunee: 4:29pm On Nov 20, 2022

Thank you Hunee, it’s not urgent, it’s after the festive period but I’ll like to purchase the flight ticket now. I guess the Et = Ethiopian airline, I appreciate.

I will share my timeline tomorrow, God’s Grace.

Good evening House. Please, I need your help here. What are the necessary documents and cost implication needed for a grandmother who is coming over to UK to greet her daughter

Abeg no vex, Na that “greet” catch my attention; you mean greet as in “meet n greet”? grin grin grin Abeg no put that “greet” for her application o, if not the ECO go first laugh well before he/she go cool down refuse her visa.

Anyways, I don’t know where to begin from, but I’m sure at least £1500 can be spent on her trip.
No flight bookings needed.
Hotel reservation can be provided if she won’t be staying with her sponsor (that’s if she has one). But if she will be staying with her sponsor, then the sponsor will provide evidence of residence, like BRP(biometric resident permit), rent receipt, utility bill.
If she will be funding her trip, then she needs to provide her 6 months bank statement to support that claim. Most importantly, she needs to prove how the funds in her account was accrued. No irregularities should be spotted in the account as well.
And the expenditure should match what she stated in her application as ECOs focus on things like opening balance, closing balance, inflow/outflow; and if they match with what you stated in the application. But if the said sponsor will be covering total costs, then he/she will need to provide either their 3 or 6 months bank statement, alongside that of the grandmother.
If she receives pension, she can equally provide the receipt in that regard.
Incase of lumpsum in her account, it should be explained thoroughly and well detailed to the clarification of the ECO, in a cover letter.
For strong support, she will need to provide proof of ties with the sponsor, like photos etc

This is the much I can remember. I will leave the more experienced folks here to chip in their own contribution as well, in order to help your grandma get a visa..

Good luck

Hi all,

Please I have another question about filling a child's tourist visa for the UK.
What is the logical response to fill for my kids for the following questions?
Thanks for your guidance.

1. How much money are you personally planning to spend on your visit to the UK?

2. What is the total amount of money you spend each month?

For your child's income and expenditure details, put in same details you filled in your own visa application. I assumed you are the parent/sponsor.

These folks would refuse one’s visa and still refuse to return the passport. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to return passports these days?

Hello house, as a student on a visa, can my children under 8 years become UK resident after 7 years in the country with me ?

If they live in the UK, they are already UK residents. If you meant citizenship, that is dependent on your own visa status.
