We all know that these Governors that want to visit Buhari because of CBN policy are sent by Tinubu, because he needs enough money to buy Vote.

It may interest you to know that these Governors sent by Tinubu to help him talk to Buhari are all Yoruba Governors, Igbo Governors can never join them.

We all know that Tinubu cannot win a free and fair Election in Nigeria.

We sane Nigerians are happy with this CBN policy. It is good for our Democracy.

We urge President Buhari to stand by this CBN policy, it will help to curb Vote buying. Buhari should not listen to Tinubu stooges they call Governors.

God bless President Buhari.
God bless Emefiele.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria

it will destroy the economy, you are ok because you are in a city where there is telecom networks, atm, pos and you have the luxury of being educated. there are many who are in remote areas where the network is very bad, how will they transact? how will food sellers going deep into rurarl areas pay farmers when even ppl in the cities are rejecting the new notes / we don't have the infrastructure yet to do these things.

It won't destroy the economy. Nobody is saying don't withdraw cash just pay charges if you exceed the limit.

Truth is that rural dwellers don't spend copious amounts of cash for their subsistent existence. If you want to go there to buy land or buy in bulk or buy votes, source for your cash and pay the charges. Just the same way if you want to go abroad you go to the black market and buy dollars.

Don't be more catholic than the pope.

I thought Masari said that the govenors had endorsed the cashless policy?

According to one of the governors, "we had agreed to beg the president..."

Very wrong language. Nigeria is a federal republic. The president isn't an absolute ruler and the governors don't owe their position to him. So why beg?

Paint it the way you want, this policy is very wrong. You can't just go copy one system from Europe and impose it on us without taking note of the structures on which they were built in that Europe.

Network is even the main challenge here, why not get at least 90% perfection on this first? Imagine after shopping in the mall, you either make a transfer or use the POS only for the money to get stucked, call the bank, they tell you to wait for 5 working days before reversal.

Secondly, why punishing over 200 million Nigerians because of less than 10k politicians? Recently, the cbn says there are over 1.4 million pos agents nationwide, with 20k daily maximum withdrawal limits, how can they continue their business?

This is just a tip of the Iceberg on the attendant issues with this policy, there over 100 other cases that are yet to be noticed and will largely affect SMEs which this govt claim to be its main apostle.

And for those thinking they are doing Tinubu, I just dey laff. grin grin grin

Anyway, what do I know?
God bless you my brother, our government is such a funny one, we have lots of primary responsibility they haven't fulfilled, they are arguing that the world has gone digitalised and isn't that the same world that enjoyed stable electricity and good roads access together with clean environment and water, can't they copy such and implement it here, but they are quick to copy cashless policy, let start from provision of basics need first

anything opposed by the governors is always the right thing to do

In fact anything opposed by Governors know that it's the right thing.

They only protested because it will hurt them terribly.

Take for instance my Rivers State governor still paying N18k minimum wage without employment or promotion for the past seven years also crying for the review of the policy.

The minimum wage is already less than the withdrawal limit so why complaining if you never had an ulterior motives.

Politicians are evil

You don't actually know anything. Tinubu and his cohorts are probably the ones driving the governors to go to Abuja and revise this.
It's better this way, that way no one complains about rigging.
Your master is sure of winning, so why are you concerned?
Buhari is trying to make things right. I applaud him and hopes he sticks to this change until after the elections.

You think they 'the governors' are doing this you and I?

The fact that, they even thought of reversal means the policy is really going affecting them.

Governor or not, the policy is too rigid. Many of us support this policy are not into business semanding large payment of money, and most times this payment areto be made ro people who do not need transfers but cash. Some might be early morning business.

Rubbish. They want to be withdrawing cash from government accounts to enable they steal / misuse public funds

Even if the N20k daily will be reviewed.
No government account should be exemted from cash withdrawal limits.
I don't see any reason why any government account (local, state, or federal) should be withdrawing cash.

Since when has Nigeria governors forum became the mouth piece of the rural dwellers?

Do the governors care about the rural people with their mindless looting?

They are looking for avenue to loot and divert more public funds.

Mr presdo I support you on this policy at least till after may 29, 2023. Dont listen to them.

Is there ever a right time to do anything in your country?

You guys are always resisting every policy the government wants to put in place.

You guys keep on giving excuses why so, so and so cannot happen in your country meanwhile you keep comparing your country to those other countries where such policies are working out fine.

See, lemme tell you something, the best time to do something is NOW.
