This CBN ppl are fool.... Where they not doing 5,000 for 100 charges before you brought your stupid policy, aside that... If POS ppl don't go through the stress of getting cash why will they increase there charges.... Moreover according to law of demand and supply.... Increase in demand leads to scarcity which in turn leads to increase the price of such valuable... This CBN governor is a lunatic the core

It won't make anything easier at all, think about it from the other angle, I will happily pay the charges than staying under the sun for hours at the bank without assurance that I will get the money when it's my turn, not to talk about the high transport fare that will took me to the bank. Things are normal until cbn comes up with there new policy, they should be the one to find solution to the problems on ground.

It’s either the POS people are lying about the bankers charging them lots of money or CBN are just manipulating the situation
there's no cash. People deposited their money in the bank to beat the deadline, CBN only released a fraction of the new currency then warned the banks never to release old currency for withdrawal or load it into ATMs. The few money in circulation now is the ones people didn't deposit.

If you check those POS agents giving this ridiculous charges, they always look unkempt, lack courtsey and look stupid.

Nonesense talk. Who made money scarce in the first place? Was it like this before? Were they charging this high before? They will spend hours at the ATM trying to get money with many over 50percent already closed down due to non availability of funds. Something that isn't like that before, you are now saying they should charge the normal rate they charge when they were getting money with ease. If na you you go still charge the same rate? Answer me

Maybe CBN should go meet petrol black market sellers too and tell them to still sell at the normal rate of petrol station

Rubbish

Nobody in this govt cares enough about the people to come and read what they are going through

Reformation is never a cake walk. I expect any serious government trying to control cash in circulation to do exactly this. For how can you be practicing a cashless policy yet have almost 80 percent of currency outside the banking system. That is untracked money, that is an economy within an economy. No government will accept that.

However the fact is that as long as institutions remain weak particularly those of the criminal justice system, shock therapy remains the only tool of government. For there are all sorts of laws that are serially broken for that amount of cash to have leached out of the central bank in the first place and the fears are real that if our laws can or will not be enforced wen the new currency will sooner or later find us way back to private 'central banks'.

Whatever we suffer today is of our collective making. Nigerians are by and large not ready or able to organize ourselves into a viable, progressive society.

Personally this is one incident that has affected me, perhaps not as much as others, but I cannot bring myself to complain about it because I know it is all a product of bad citizenship of which I am a Nigerian, just as I cannot complain about pesky police check points when I know my fellow citizens will exploit their absence to commit all manner of crimes if which I may become a victim.

Fellow citizens, if we don't restructure Nigeria we will suffer until our time on earth is over. My two cents.

What's POS in the first place. Are we supposed to used POS for withdrawal. Went to buy fuel at the fuel station. They said they only accept cash that there is no POS. was directed to a POS by the side of the station. Bought 10kncash for 12k. Then i went back to buy the fuel 350per litre. I discovered that they sell or move same cash to their POS Agents. Recycling cash. What mistakes or rubbish have CBN Created

So if you did not give it what do U want to withdraw

Anybody can get pos for his or her business and they pos can also be use for pos business
I bin wan ask the same question.
Which license in the first place?

CBN mob 2.7tr as at last Sunday and only printed 900bn in an election period that politicians need all the cash they can get is a policy that will guarantee public unrest and protest but unfortunately the same CBN is now going after POS and banks for its own policy failure

CBN should accept its policy failure and work a good solution not going after POS and banks

Only in Nigeria you'll find an actual dunce calling a more enlightened person a dunce.

This donkey does not even know that it won't take up to 48hours for the detailed records of all POS stands in Nigeria to be on Emefiele's office table.

Sometimes it's best to shut your mouth if you're not very informed on a particular issue. You mustn't always have an opinion.

In the process to act smart you sounded rather dumber than your peers of dumbos!! Emefiele so far is second dumb to you, he barely could even realize the economic sabotage he has caused through this Naira policy neither could you! See, this is the reason he keep jumping from pillar to post with his dates regarding this policy.

I doubt if you know anything about simple economics, so no need to enlighten you, please continue your road to damnation. You are either myopic, dysfunctional or both in your thought processes! If you brain was not made in China, how can you suggest they compile the number of POS in Nigeria before Emefiele? Are you sure you are not mentally unstable?

Conclusion, is it better to keep shut and be thought a fool, than speak to remove all doubts.

lol u think it is just as u see it abi... 3days go I went to bank to make a withdrawal all to no avail, then I went to a pos woman and saw another woman Dragging price with her saying na 10,000 etc, I didn't know what they were Dragging and the pos woman told her okay make i give u 8k and the woman said na bcoz na u oooo, and same woman brought out a bunch of money 500 naira bunch x2 old notes and handled it to the pos woman and started calling her account number for her.. Now I asked the pos woman I want to withdraw she said na 20k for 100k boss I beg and beg until she collected 12k.. That was when she drew my attention to what I came to meet by that the woman that just brought cash to her now was a cold room woman who sells fish that she normally help deposit money due to excessive cash in her possession, but since naira scarcity the woman has been selling cash for her 10k per 100k and she just sold for her cheapest ever for 8k and she just gave me at 12k while other will do same 20k... So u expect them to buy money and give u 100k for 1k as usual abi Sometimes we think pos are the problem, we all are...

...well you have no or little knowledge about what I’d going on in the country . My first question is why did CBN failed to provide a solution to the problem they’ve caused for the masses why ?. Why are they beating round the bush?. Now let me tell what you don’t know . A close friend of mine is into this pos and phone accessories at least to make his living . Imagine he paid the sum of hundred thousand naira to get a cash of 1million naira from someone who owns a filling station that has never suffer to get the cash rather than people coming to buy fuel and his making is own cash . Now he sold the 1million for hundred thousand naira to a friend due to the cash scarcity ..so if you were him, how much will you charge? ...and this same person that sold 1m cash for him for 100k has been the one that used to give him cash on a normal day before the cash scarcity....so now you in his shoe, what will you do ...u shall don open your mouth talk anyhow

CBN could only be able to release a billion naira to the banks in 3 days when they have mopped up 2 trillion naira already, so how many days will it take them to release a trillion naira, it will take the CBN one thousand days to release into circulation a trillion naira with the rate the official is stating here, CBN has no enough notes to release into circulation, they are just finding who to put the blame of their inefficiency on

I suggested that a compilation of POS stands be done for Emefiele or I replied to the dusty content of your fat filled brain when you opened your smelly cranium to insinuate that there's no way the Apex bank can withdraw licences because they don't know the existing POS operators in Nigeria?

You're an even bigger fool than I thought!

Even if I presumably suggested that a compilation be made and forwarded to Emefiele, I'm very much in line because the CBN holistically oversees all financial and economic dealings in the Country. For somebody who's too moronic to know that POS stands don't just exist around the street corner but are approved by super agents who are licensed by banks and other financial institutions, I'm not surprised you can be so dense with your assertions.

See the donkey wey dey talk about simple economics grin! Bastard is even not ashamed to exhibit his illiteracy in public by downplaying Chinese products. This one doesn't even know China runs or is directly involved in about 20 percent of the world's economics, if not more.

Some family re not eating Mr man, it may seems to you like a joke but that is the reality on ground. If you want to stop politicians from buy vote this is not the way to do it. All Nigerians is asking for if you say u will only allow 20k withdraw. Make the cash available. You can't withdraw 20k from morning until night. And you re list kidnapping and the rest who told you thy re not killing and kidnapping.. is bcs the noise of the hardship is bigger that is why you re not hearing those atrocities. All newspaper, radio is naria.... Where was Buhari since he was in government?? Don't be deceived. You think if it is Goodluck that is president, will you not have seen protest all over the country by the opposition ?? The North favour their son, in as much as Buhari is bad. This naria situation is worst than when Goodluck remove subsidy and people can't travel back after the Christmas and New year celebrations. But no northern is protesting. There is no logic or explanation in this wickedness from Buhari govt.
