Asking this here will cause alot of uproar with your agent.

I usually don't intervene on issues like this because we were not part of this transaction and we do not know the terms and conditions of your agreement.

Moving forward. When I applied for my SA visa, it took a month and one week.

So please be patient ok.

SA is beautiful wink wink

Thanks for your response.
Did you apply through agent or yourself and how many months visa where you granted?
I can tell SA is beautiful from the pictures I've seen and how are you beginning to settle in ?

Did you go there for vacation or for work or study ?

Will be nice to hear about your experience so far too

Vacation, I applied myself.

SA is fine , but with alot of economic indifference.

Notwithstanding, you will enjoy yourself here if you do right.

From OR tambo to city to the parks. Everything here is beautiful.

Sorry bro, there is nothing as free studying here in SA. You must have your money to study in any higher institution. *No mahala*

In case you need Rand here, let me know.

I disagree Baba, SA universities are almost at per with that of the U.S. You have a high chance of getting a funding, in as much as you are doing research. UKZN is also an example, you don't pay tuition fee

Are you in UKZN?
Do your findings very well, no university is free in SA for a foreigner. If you get funding, it's another thing. But for you to say, SA universities are free to foreign students, I don't agree. I have been to all the provinces and all the universities in SA. I know what I am saying. If there is anyone who will evidently tell me any SA university is free, let him/her convince me with proofs. I come in peace!

There is nothing like resident permit. You only have permanent residence permit or temporary permit

In UKZN some Masters and PhD programmes have fee remission, meaning you don’t have to pay for tuition. That I know for sure especially if you’re doing a research based master degree, you get it for just one year, and if you don’t finish by 1 year, you are responsible for the second year. Then some universities too give funding, they will pay for you. Not like it’s free do you get? So just make sure you ask questions like which universities gives funding or scholarships not which universities are free, do you get. Supervisor too can pay for your tuition from the grants they were awarded depending on the outcome of your previous degree.
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Bursttt: 8:59pm On Mar 07, 2023
My Advice to anyone trying to apply for a sticker visa especially long term visas is not to apply till after 6-8 months, reschedule your plan. If you can wait for 6-8 months please you can tender it. just saying so you won’t feel frustrated when it doesn’t come out. Right now there are lot and loads of applications in their office- September, October, November 2022 applications are still there o, not to talk of January February & March and they don’t have enough staffs to adjudicate, sometimes the ones there they don’t even cross check well, they will just rush and they do mistake and refuse based on their own human error (this just happened not so long) or they will print a visa with errors and you’d start looking for ways to return it back to them and that’s another 6 months before it gets back to you corrected

Omo, i am just reading all these comments about SA, and i am wondering, how do you guys arrive about somethings.

Let me first comment on the issue of timing for SA e visa . Mind you, i said "e visa".
In recent times, the processing time is usually around 5 - 6 weeks as highlighted above by one of the respondents.

Secondly, on the issue of documents, it is clearly stated on the portal,
You need apply and attach your bank statements that can cover the duration of your stay. The value should equate in rands.
So, what that means is that, look at your budget and your stay period, then determine how much you present as bank statements.

Mind you, do not try to act funny, the process is verified, especially when figures are attached.

Lastly.
During the process of review, you can send a mail to the dha contact center for a follow up. They respond in one way or the other. You may not get a feedback on mail, but they act on applications. I know for a fact. so be careful not to send too many mails, so it does not affect the procedure. You can get disapproved for that.

I advise that you use a longer date when applying because of the processing time. There are no emergencies for SA. Apply 1/2 months ahead in most cases.

The issue of documents, Please revert to the website as they are clearly stated there. You must also merge all your documents in one pdf to allow your review process seamless. Do not upload scattered documents.

So, going by all that is written, if you have done the right thing, BE SURE OF AN APPROVAL. Its simple.

Have a great day.
