They say unemployment is 33%,meanwhile that data includes this op who makes millions annually from agriculture, yet no data to capture his activities.
Funny enough a lot of people are in this category.
I said this and am repeating this again, there's no unemployment in nigeria, what we have is under employment.
By the time some of these type of op is adequately capture in the so called data, nigeria unemployment won't be more that 5%.
if na so nobody is unemployed

Including beggars and amputees . they are employed waving rubber plates and stumpy hands at motorists

Yes, you have spoken well. I like the fact that everything you have written is short and straightforward. I will surely try this out.

You are doing well Op, my dad planted 3 coconut trees in his land and they have started producing fruits, I think it's like 4 to 5 years now. and we also have 3 orange trees with alot of oranges 🍊 cashew trees,, 2 Sweet mango trees and guava trees.

I'm also thinking of buying like an hectre of land so that I can start my own farm, Agriculture is life.

That's what it should be

Thank you. You earn my respect and even my vote where possible during election time.

Unlike PETER OBI you re a n asset in innovative industry.

Coconut 🍓🍑 fruit is better and healthier than coke and fanta. Even far better than Peter Obi"s brewery yet his patronizers weren't understand.

Coconut no dey finish for our store. The water inside too sweet. You fit chop coconut with bread or Garri or Pap and beans, e make sense.

But it's been a while I've been home Sha, definitely missing a lot of things. I think my Dad planted the coconut trees about 15years ago if not more sef but it's strictly for personal consumption and we do give out the excess too.

There is a lot of untapped potential in coconut business. I saw on YouTube where raw coconut juices are being sold in some countries. Never come across it here in Nigeria. At first, I was not interested but decided to give it a trial. It was very fantastic. I had never in my life taken such delicious fruit juice before. Please give it a trial, you will concur with me.

Get one not yet ripe coconut fruit fresh from the tree. Open and drink the water, come here and testify. This coconut water cures a lot of disease.

They sell it in front of the National Stadium. They usually convert the booth of their car to Mobile Market. Come and see the way people patronize them.

I admire so much people with this asset called land. A lot of people in this forum has hectares of land which is no doubt a very huge investment. One of my early mistake was not buying much piece of land even when I had the resources to do so.
I can tell you clearly that the little I get have been carefully converted into multiple source of income. Without exaggeration, during this recent financial crisis of scarcity of money, I was very comfortable because I earned income daily from this invaluable asset called LAND.
This thread is to highlight how one can turn land to money. Am going to be posting pictures to support my claim.
Please stay tuned

ytdivine. I just did my maths and you can plant 74 trees in one plot of land. What other trees that are both cash and food crops can I plant and reap the investments. Also, which location do you think is best for this. Some areas in Nigeria don't have the right weather conditions to favour planting oranges for instance.

Maintain good spacing to reduce competition in nutrients and each tree should have access to sunlight.
To me, what I consider very important in terms of location is water source.
A lot of trees can be planted including pawpaw, lemon, pear, oha, sour sop, and variety of vegetables

My father has almost 25 trees of coconut, but we used to share it with the man who helps us pluck it. Please if you have a better ratio or formula to make my father have the lion share

Nigeria problem is lack of visionary leaders. Do you know that industrialization start from agriculture. If you have about 1000 capacity coconut plantations, this will automatically attract coconut juice, oil, and cake processing companies. Other minor companies and businesses will also be built around it. This translate to more employment and improved the economy.
This one of the reasons I like the present governor of Akwa Ibom state. They are into this project and I know the like of Soludo will follow suit.
Individuals can also carry out this project.
Estimate of the land masse( plots of land) needed for 1000 coconut as you stated, pls tell us?
For the record, nice one

You are correct. Agriculture is what made the first human billionaires we see in the Bible- Abraham, Isaac, Jacob etc.

Whenever I travel especially from Lagos towards Port Harcourt during the rainy season, I don't stop wondering at the fertile lands idle with weeds and grasses. I often ask that if edible and economically viable crops are planted that's how they will grow also.

This you may not know but I have to tell you. Coconut can fruit non stopping all year round. You need to add continuous source of water to achieve this

True! I have a neighbour that has just 2 trees in his compound. I stand to watch the fruits always. For the past two years I came to stay there, there has not been anytime that the trees lack fruits.
