helinues:The simple answer to your question is that Lagos was a former federal capital of Nigeria developed with federal government money hence it has infrastructure and industries that attract people from other states including those from Ogun, Ekiti, Kwara, Ondo, Kogi, Oyo and Osun states. As we speak, there are lots of Nigerians from other tribes living in the East. Let Aba, Onitsha, Asaba, Orlu, Abakiliki, Owerri or Umuahia be developed like Lagos and see how many Igbos will remain in Lagos and how many Yorubas will flock to the East. 1 Like |

FreedomfromtheT: Calabar should have also be in the status of Lagos as a former old Nigeria capital. Why is less development happening there compare to Lagos? This Lagos former capital you guys keep on shouting, how many local government in the then Lagos state was the Capital? Just fraction of Lagos Island, Lagos mainland which is the biggest was under the control of Pa Awolowo. If SW is not developed, some people won't be sneaking in at night with a polythene bag. If SW is not progressive, it won't be attractive to investors If SW is not secured, perhaps they would have also been locking themselves up every Monday just because they have issue with someone in far Abuja. See heh, yam and pounded yam are different. We are not in competition with anyone, express is wide enough to overtake, but over speeding kills 10 Likes |

FreedomfromtheT: First of all are you Yoruba because Lagos is definitely Yorubaland Or which Oba of Yorubaland has declared you a Loyal and Trustworthy Indigene of his Territory Because People like Oshodi Tapa and the Saros were not initially indigenes but became indigenes after adopting Yoruba Language and Culture and also fully being Loyal to the Oba and indigenes of Lagos So which first class Oba has declared you a bona fide Loyal indigene of his domain? 12 Likes |

At the traditional level kids sometimes eat from the same dish even with elders In such a gathering there is etiquette and protocol everyone knows their place. You don't take meat anyhow. You look and know whether meat go reach you or not. Also which kind of meat is it beef, shaki or ponmo So in the Lagos dish Yoruba take meat first like three or four then they belch They take another two then they mess. After that if there is still ponmo maybe Emeka and Marinus can share it Chinedu cannot take meat before Oluomo 15 Likes 2 Shares |

FreedomfromtheT:Lagos state was not developed with federal government money Rather Nigeria was partly developed with Lagos money Lagos has always contributed more to the centre than it received Always and this goes back to 1890. Even today there is NO SINGLE STATE that contributes more than Lagos state NOT ONE 9 Likes |

FreedomfromtheT: Gajagojo: More that 95% of Lagos was carved out of the Western Region Only Lagos Island was the FCT Below is the 1962 map of lagos the dot at the bottom was where the lagos Island Capital Was all the rest was under the western region You can see that more than 97% of Today’s lagos was in Awolowo’s western region Even lagos Island was handed back to Awolowo as part of the western region at Independence the western region allowed the National Government to Continue using lagos Island as the Capital only out of Consideration for the National Interest 9 Likes 2 Shares

https://punchng.com/oil-exports-account-for-80-total-national-revenue/ Income from oil accounted for 80% of Nigeria's revenue!!!! A whopping 80!!! I can't believe an adult with a functioning brain is comparing oil revenues to that from VAT,!!! Gosh!! 3 Likes |

An Ondo indigene is never a Lagos indigene. There's no law that would favour and Ondo man in Lagos that would not equally favour a man like me from Delta. Any law that contravenes the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria remains invalid helinues: 2 Likes |
