The only pressure in water is upthrust. Upthrust cannot implode an object except there's pressure from above. Whenever there's an upthrust, the water above simply displaces and allows the object to float.

Implosion can only occur when there's both upward and downward pressure which is impossible.

It's this same over confidence that killed the builders of the ill-fated titanic maybe there's an evil spirit in that part of the ocean that hardens their hearts not to listen to anyone.
