Is the problem managing trades or knowing when to enter and exit?

Some traders dont have a well laid down strategy that's why they keep talking about psychology.

Have they written it down?
Did they backtest?
Have they forward tested?

Forget psychology if all these arent in place

There will be trading psychology in absence of a trading strategy.


If there's no existing strategy, then, what are you managing??


There's a saying that " if you fail to plan, you plan to fail" - every trader falls into one of this categories.

My argument is that - any trader talking about psychology already have an existing strategy/plan.

There are poor strategies, but it's still strategy. Lol!


Even the dumbest person here wouldn't lay a foundation, plant pillars without having anything in mind

if currencies trading is Haram - you can trade metals or stock on a swap free account. - if you call this Haram, then buying and selling in a physical market could also be classified as Haram.

Try to understand what the hadith said,if it is not hand to hand(which mean physical),then it is haram.in online forex trading, you're not buying any euros or usd physically and it is haram to do so.please,study further to understand that trading is haram and you should refrain from it.May Allah make our affairs easy for us

Its not a sound strategy thats my point..
So instead of crying about psychology why not work on technical analysis skill and a sound strategy? Thats my point

So if each can not stand alone to guarantee success. It then means that both are important. There is no psychology without strategy and risk management. And there is no strategy without risk management and psychology

@Infofirst, last week I was lamenting that I was 6percenrt up and overnight slippage slam me a DQ. well I was surprised to check the leaderboard a week after and see that I am still on, perhaps the system corrected itself but the profit is down to 2 percent, I will be taking it up from Monday, maybe I could still hit the mark, 7 days is a lot in this biz and if i dont at least I will try cool cool cool

I can of understand what rainlover his trying to say.. because I knew nothing of psychology until I defined my edge.. That's when I knew just the edge alone is not enough, I needed something else to push myself forward, and there came in the psychology..
Without having an egde first psychology alone can't tell u when to buy or sell.. psychology mainly deal with managing a trade when you are in that trade and removing fear before entering a trade. An edge tells you when to buy or sell and when to exist. And without that edge u might just be buying when the market clearly wants to sell and just keep on holding the trade because you are sound on psychology, when a good edge would have stopped u from even getting on that trade or even letting you know it's time to exist the trade.

Nope.. You failed to make it in the business and that's why you stopped, and then you start to look for excuses to backup ur failure.

Working in the bank..... Haram
Working with breweries... Haram
Working with credit union...Haram
Music.... Haram
Movies... Haram
Photographer.... Haram

Islam isn't a wicked religion and you guys should stop sending people out of Islam by condemning almost every....

Eating of pig is Haram in Islam too but Allah said if you get to an environment where what they only eat to survive is Pig, You don't have a choice but to eat it at the moment for your survival
