Fair enough.

We cannot afford that now considering our current situation and the fact that Tinubu government is just starting.

God bless the Senate
God bless Nigeria
You are nothing but a big hypocrite.

When some people here held similar positions like those senators, you and your fellow agbadorians tagged them all ipob who opposed everything about tinubu...maybe those northern senators are also Igbos/Igbos!

I told Ebola boys that Tinubu’s request for Military Action in Niger would be thrashed like a used sanitary pad by Senate but they were busy foaming from their mouth rather than listening to my logical analysis.

For anything to get approved at the senate, you 2/3 of the senators to support it. Numerically that’s 73.

Now, APC are just 59 senators.

Opposition senators are 50. All of them would be against the request by default.

Amongst the 59 senators of APC, majority of them are northerners and their stakeholders have told them not to support any military action in Niger because na north go suffer am pass. This made them issue a statement to that effect last night.

So, add 50 opposition senators to about 20 APC senators from the north and you have about 70 senators against the request which would kill the request completely.

But somehow, Ebola boys disagreed with me.

They thought the Nigerian senate is MC Oluomo that the urine dispenser will issue instructions and the illiterate will carry it out with the speed of light without questioning.

The truth is that Tinubu should have just concentrated on wanking Remi’s wrinkled kitten than insulting himself this way all in the name of answering president.

Master strategist is turning out olodo strategist.

Best decision taken,Tinubu should face the enormous problems facing Nigeria.Being Ecowas chairman doesn't mean you should add more problems to your own country.

Nigerians 1 v 0 Ebola.

They made the right call.
There is time for every thing.
BAT should focus on strengthening his own home front for now.

He is in quite a precarious position as Chairman of ECOWAS, but he has to prioritize his election as Nigeria's President.
Besides, Niger junta is fighting a good course. That is in the best interest of Nigeria and Africa.
The coup d-etat is a fight against abuse of Democracy and terrible politicians who are merely puppets of the West to keep Africa backwards.

However, Tinubu should seek dialogue with them as soon as possible probably with OBJ or another well-respected Veteran/General, Abdusalami might be compromised which I suppose was why he was not granted audience.
Coup-detat are unpredictable as Power corrupts and can be quite intoxicating.

So many people have interest in this whole Niger thing. Russia is happy with the coup cus with the military in place the gas Pipeline from Nigeria to Europe through Niger and Algeria may no work thereby making France and others to run back to Russia. France have been relying heavily on the Nigerien export of uranium since cutting off from Russian gas.Nigeria should be careful.we don't have much to loose with the military in power but if we invade, too bad!
Re: Senators Reject Tinubu's Request For Military Intervention In Niger by Latakia(f): 4:05pm On Aug 05, 2023
I know they will reject it. It's a game plan. The president has indirectly refuse to commit resources and military to ECOMOG. Let France and the West do the intervention by themselves. Nigeria cannot afford to help the West fight a proxy war against Niger Republic Russian backed coup. We have our own challenges to solve and moreover, most Francophone countries in West Africa cannot be trusted when the real gbege happen. France and United States have a military bases in Niger Republic let them go and remove the coupists. Our boarders with Niger Republic in the north is too porous for us to go into military intervention with Niger Republic or else Boko Haram, Bandits will be a child plays compare to what is gonna happen when other international terrorists begins to set him. The West and Russia are only going to sell weapons to both sides and watch you destroy yourselves.

Does Tinubu look like someone who is interest in confronting Niger militarily?

He is the ECOWAS leader. The letter to the senate is just for him to make ECOWAS member states, Buhari, France and UK see that he made attempts.

Now, no super power will blame Nigeria or him for not protecting their interest.

Even a new born baby knows the senate will reject the prayer 7 of his request.

This senate is 100% rubber stamp, but nothing interest above every other things. When it goes against the interest of the North, they will deny you - especially if you're not from the North. They're not fools. They know Tinubu is on a desperate move for legitimacy, to please the West and also to make a political statement because he's scared of being deposed as well, but to the northerners, northern interest comes first

It's a time I told you all why President Tinubu is hell-bent in Niger.

He knows that if such continue, such might happen here in Nigeria, knowing very well that the people are tired of notorious administration and the diabolism that associates Nigeria electoral process.
He knew the Senate will reject so he threw it to them. A good way of avoiding the responsibility of making that decision of dragging Nigeria to war. He is a smart man. He now needs to focus on the economy and let Niger worry about itself. The sanctions are enough punishment.

Nice one from the senate.
Tinubu has succeeded in embarrassing himself before the international community.
How can you contemplate military invasion and even go a step further to get other ECOWAS countries to key into it when you know it is not completely within your power to fully actualize it?
A wise leader would have first sought approval of the national assembly before going international to avoid this kind of embarrassment.

If Tinubu truly wanted Senate approval, y'all think this marshmallow Senate would defy him? You guys still don't understand how politics work, you think Buhari would advice him to attack Niger? I laugh in Swahili.......As Ecowas Chairman he has done what needs to be done, not only will Nigeria preserve its dignity but more foreign assistance could be coming since this could be used to label Niger as a terrorist country and Nigeria needs to protect its borders. The foolish thing to do would be to attack when Nigeria gains absolutely nothing in return!
