Please someone help me.

I recently replaced the Brainbox of my 2005 Honda Accord. When I went to pick it up, I noticed it was consuming very large amount of fuel. And also sometimes I have to pull the gear shifter way down and back to drive before it gets moving.

My rewire said it was the raising sensor (something about it not raising pass level 3). We bought it and when he tried fixing it, he said it didn't work. So he returned it and collected back the cash.

He is now saying we need to buy the full package of 18k for it to work. Please I need your advice. I don't want to waste money on something that might not work. Mainly this is the first time I am hearing something called raising sensor. I have heard about 02 sensor or are they the same?

Scan the vehicle first, the scan result will enable you know what to tackle

Mille, Raising (throttle) sensor is not the same with O2 sensor.
But like nurey said, scan the ride.

Thanks. I had it scanned before the rewire started work. I don't have the results cos I wasn't around then. I guess I'll ask for the results now.

Rescan instead. But better to buy your own personal scanner less than 20k

Good evening..
Haven't had time to visit Willoughby..
I've decided to replace the A/F and O2 sensors
For the radiator coolant temperature sensor, I'll have to find a rewire to check the wirings.. it's possible rats ate it.

Who can help me check my civi 06 in Abuja? The smell of fuel fills the car whenever I buy fuel and I also feel the fuel consumption is a bit high for Civic. I just started using the car.

Fuel leaks in the fuel lines, Check the fuel pump, or the seal around the injector is broken

Scan the car
It should bring out an EVAP leak or EVAP related code.
It's could be an ineffective gas cap, evap purge valve, the charcoal cannister or the canister valve solenoid as well and as the poster mentioned above, check the hoses(fuel line) connecting them.

your car is in limp mode for the rpm not going above 3 until you scan and fix the issue, check engine light should me on problem related to misfire on the cylinders, Maf airflow sensor, just scan and fix the error

If your abs module is bad, replace it.

If your abs sensor had a wrong one fitted in your vehicle, it will cause a pulsating noise if you step on the brakes, get a good one

Oil life 50%.
What does that mean?
Accord 07 4cyl

Oil life 50%.
What does that mean?
Accord 07 4cyl
The engine oil is at 50% life
Will need a change when it drops to 25%
After the change you can reset oil life back to 100%

What if servicing was done recently?

HenryWilliams:

What if servicing was done recently?
Then it was not reset back to 100% after the service was done then, if service was done recently you can go ahead and reset it back to 100% .
It’s not necessary to follow the indicator
Just note the miles you did the service and replace oil after 5000 miles or so.

You'll need to take your vehicle to a good workshop for physical inspection and diagnosis.
