Hi guys, I recently applied to Seneca college against September 2024 but got a rejection mail few days later. Please any suggestions for colleges in Canada with open admissions to apply to against September 2024 with a high acceptance rate?

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by tajuowo(m): 11:52pm On Oct 07, 2023
please can this be done in absence of the passport. the passport isn't in Nigeria. Wouldn't mind getting your plug's contact

Oluwaloniglory7:

If you have a sure plug go and do migration on your international passport to 10years to get your study permit complete at the port of entry.

I just captured yesterday for my own passport that will expired in May 2025 while my study ended in August 2025 already gotten my visa, I did migration 10yrs so I will be able to get complete of my study permit at the port of entry

ABEOKUTA passport office fast I paid on Saturday did captured yeaterday

Well I think it’s good because it will show that your living expenses is taken care of.
Though, I’m yet to submit my application, but I did GIC and paid full tuition.

Go there physically, they will give you.
Don't get confused by the mail.
A pal still collected physically last week.

francophone134:
Hello everyone greetings. I got a mail that my passport is ready for collection and I initially paid for one way service. Now the email said they don't allow in person collection. And their courier buy service is very expensive which is 31,160. So please, how else can I get the passport? Must I use their own courier service?

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Cest2023: 6:49am On Oct 08, 2023
Good day all, I’ve been an onlooker on this platform. Please I have few questions to ask.
I studied Civil engineering and I have about 5years experience in my field with LASG, however, hubby studied Geology and he has experience in Customer service relations and is currently undergoing ALX Data Analyst Program which will end by December. We have plans to relocate and Australia and Canada are our target. My questions are:
1. Who stands a better chance in getting the student visa? He is 34 and I am 32.
2. We both don’t have masters but I am registered in my field and we are a family of 4, do we stand a chance in express entry?
3. We have 7M presently hoping to save more, we are thinking one person should go first. Do we stand a chance?

Pardon my plenty questions, thank you.

Only one bank allows Nigerians to apply for GIC with them and that Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce CIBC.
Minimum is 10,000 CAD and maximum is 20,000 CAD.
Make sure you choose Student GIC Program.

And lastly, if you have a USD domiciliary account, note that if you are paying in USD for the GIC, and the USD on your domiciliary account was cash deposits, Nigeria CBN policy won’t allow you to send anything more than 10,000 USD per month which is about 13,000 CAD.
Apply application for the GIC,
Make sure you when send your money to CIBC, the fund is coming from you own account, they don’t allow third party payment.
They don’t accept Naira.
Make sure you are responsible for the transfer charges.
If you select USD, then your bank should send USD. Do not select USD and then pay CAD.

That will depend on your study length, sponsorship either self or someone is sponsoring you.
