It is advisable to present a comprehensive overview of your financial capacity by demonstrating funding for both living expenses and tuition fees over a two-year period. However, if you opt to showcase funding for only one year, it is crucial to provide a clear explanation of your strategy to cover the expenses for the second year. It's important to note that stating reliance on a part-time job during studies could raise concerns and be viewed as a potential red flag. Instead, focus on alternative, more stable sources of funding to ensure a more robust and reliable financial plan.

seawealth:
Please if one shows a pof of 10k for 1 year living expenses while going for 2 years program. Is it required to explain how you plan to secure the one to cover for the other year. If yes, then can you explicitly say you intend to raise the living expenses for the other year by working part time during your studies?

Good evening Nairalanders,
I just got admission to study a 2- year project management course in sault college ste marie. Is there anyone going to the main campus or any whatsapp link to help me join a community?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 6:12pm On Nov 28, 2023
The GCMS note indicates that the visa officer found the evidence regarding your relationship with your cousin insufficient or unconvincing. It is crucial to address this concern by providing additional compelling evidence. Ensure that your documentation is clear, organized, and provides a comprehensive picture of your ties to your cousin and your intent to abide by the terms of the visa. If you have any further supporting documentation on hand, such as photos, communication records, previous support from him, or any other relevant evidence that can help establish the authenticity of your relationship with your cousin.
An alternative and effective approach could be to consider a co-sponsor. By introducing a co-sponsor with a strong financial standing, you can address the concerns raised by the visa officer and present a more robust case for your visa application. You should be the co-sponsor

Remember, transparency and thorough documentation are key to a successful visa application.

If the school requires tuition payment in order to secure your seat in the program. Kindly pay for it regardless of your Mpower loan.

Good day everyone,
Some amount of money was transferred to me as the next of kin of my late dad from my dad’s company. Can I use the account as POF or I should transfer the money little by little to my other account to avoid lump sum or other issue( I’m not the only child of my parents). Please guys, I need your opinion or advice on this 👆

If you're concerned about using the lump sum deposit from your late dad's company as proof of funds (POF), it might be a good idea to transfer the money in smaller amounts to your other account. This way, it won't be perceived as a single large deposit, which could potentially raise questions or cause issues. By spreading out the transfers, it can appear more natural and in line with regular financial transactions.

In addition to transferring the money in smaller amounts, it would be beneficial to include legal documents from your lawyer stating that you are the next of kin of your late father. These documents can help support your case and demonstrate your vital responsibility back home. Including such documentation in your Letter of Explanation (LOE) for your reapplication can provide clarity and strengthen your application.

Good luck with your application, and if you need further assistance, feel free to ask here!📝🏢

Hi guys, please I tried booking a flight for my sister with Egypt air on Wakanow and she said she received a call from Wakanow telling her that they might return her back to Nigeria at Cairo since she is with a student visa.

They told her to consider booking another flight.

Please how true is this my fellow nairalanders? Who has witnessed this recently please?

I would appreciate all your response.
Thank you.

Yes, egyptair will send her back to lagos from Cairo, if she's booking later than 3weeks to her resumption date. That's the immigration law in Cairo regarding student travel.
For example: for January 8th resumption, your egyptair ticket must not be later than 17th December, 2023.
I got this info from their office in V/I, I wanted to book 27th December, but they advised I book 17th instead. As from the 18th Dec, it is considered that you're flying at a date too close to your resumption, and apparently it's a big deal for Cairo's immigration officers.
I also heard they'll look at your documents too at Cairo; tuition payment, admission letter etc

How did you arrive at the 50m after he has already paid part of the tuition fee and it's a year program.

MatrixReloaded:

You have to show 10k as living expense, additional 4k for any accompanied family member.
4*3=12k +10k =22k CAD living expense
5k balance
Total = 27k cad.
Based on oanda rate you will have 18m total.
Left with 1m equivalent to 1450 Cad.
Your transport and miscellaneous for the whole period would reduce the totL funds pushing either you are ur spouse to work in other to survive.
You need about 50m naira to scale through, you people need to stop messing up application with unprepareness of finance. Travel alone and secure spot for family members..
