Nigerians can't save for tickets to go back home? My friend, my family attends an IGBO church here in a medium sized city of Raleigh NC. It's called Emmanuel Anglican, OWNED by the congregation, they have their own building. Over 300 families. The church was HALF-EMPTY last Sunday and will be EMPTY tomorrow. You know why? Most of them have travelled to Nigeria for Xmas. One of them just called my wife a few minutes ago to announce arrival and tell us their hotel in Lagos.

What is this myth about Nigerians being poor in abroad biko nu? grin Oga, do you know how many Nigerian families travel to Nigeria every year? Make una take am easy abeg.

Good Luck to Nigerians.

He is absolutely correct.
The West of today is markedly different from the West of the 70s and 80s.

I should know. I traversed that space.

No insult meant, This alone says a lot why your life is the way it is. You live life as it comes.

Where’s your passport?

I misplaced it. I declared it missing and the British Government replaced it, but it went missing again. I went back for the passport and I was told that I was careless with the British property and that it wouldn’t be replaced for me.

This one is a learner. You mean you still don't get it! Do you think the passport keeps missing of his own intentions or deliberate acts? It's the handiwork of his 'doers'. They start small, and when they see you are a tough nut to crack, they tune it up a level higher. Dem never press clutch for you and be saying Raise Ẹ? Ọgá, village people get levels o, some dey stubborn Ehn!

May we never be under terrestrial manipulations. Aye le!

U dey mind them. Delta and United airlines dont want Naija airlines to fly that US route because Nigerians in diaspora are poor. Nigerians in diaspora send more €£$ to Naija than Naija’s annual budget… yet diaspora Nigerians are poor🤷🏿‍♂️😂😂

There is no manipulation . Stick to what you know. If you lose your passport, you pay for another one… if you’re a citizen, they cant deny you right… instead they’lll impose heavy fine for losing ur passport 2x. Terrestrial powers no dey work for abroad and passport office. Stick to Naija movies

I'm not talking about the process he will undergo before he gets another one, The issue is why do you think he keeps misplacing such an important document? That's Ise Aye, You can't tell me differently Mr. Jason Statham and Tom Cruise. Please, allow me to stick to my Ogogo and Arakangudu, will you?

That's the big difference between us and whites and why they'd always be ahead of us.
In their culture this man would be studied, analyzed, treated, and cured, AND a case history will be opened on him and people will study him and his treatment for their PhD's, and in future generations.
In Africa, it is spiritual, end of story. And we'll be looking for who caused it on him, and babalawo or priest that will cure him. Despite the fact that this has never advanced us in any way. Even when the British were approaching with few men to attack Benin empire, instead of preparing or negotiating, they were busy doing countless human sacrifices. And even though it didn't work at all, that didn't make them stop believing in such till today!

These you people's ideas about how oyinbo countries work is funny.

It is not a matter of ideas, it is a FACT. If this man were in UK or US, the consensus would be that he had psychological problems (even if they don't yet know what it is). In Africa anything we don't yet understand is juju or spiritual. Epilepsy was spiritual and juju for a long time, till whites developed drugs that controlled it!

The man is a careless individual.. village people can make passport disappear in UK… but same village people cant use their power to steal new naira notes from banks and cbn. Japa could be seeing paying but in the long run, if care is not taking...ur end will be full of ill stories...

Japa is preferred for single..

Most japaist may either be working as a banker or having good job in Nigeria but once dey Japa...their job status changed to security/house-help (aka care-giver bathing and carrying old people pooh)/ cleaners, etc.
or dispatch rider, etc.

Allow God to lead you before Japa

After a while a people ought asks themselves certain questions and adopt belief systems that work, not cling to nebulous belief systems that have not advanced them in any way whatsoever

Nope, it is caused by some villagers in his village in Nigeria. Has nothing to do with him being careless or him having psychological problems. No sir, some clueless, ignorant villagers in Nigeria did it!

when asked if he had a wife and children, he said yes, an American. Down the line started talking about his 'Nigerian' wife. He was married here with 2 children, abandoned them and moved to UK. Rather than inviting them to UK, he moved to US and married americana. And that one has abandoned him.

Karma came for him. His irresponsible lifestyle caught up with him. Nobody jazzed him.

Sorry to hear his predicament. But I wish he didn't abandon his Nigerian-based family after traveling out.

How can your wife and children be thrown out of your own house barely 6 months after you left the country and you did nothing about it? Maybe by now, that 43 years old 2nd son of his would be in position to help him if he invested into them. Well, I thank God for your 2nd chance and hope you utilize it well to possibly bring your 43 years old son over to the US this time
