I got dis info from CrossCountry transport ltd website; as per transportation fare from Lagos to Kano town on one way package is 8000 and for full return package is 13000.
Departure time from Lagos is always 6:35am and arrival at the terminal bus station for boarding must be 1hr 30min before the departure time.

@ Orpelin, Airport to the Karaye camp is about 1.35 mins if you take a drop straight from the Airport. The city is a commercial city, they can be very nice to visitors, though there are religious bigots, but not everybody really. Let me know when you come in, if I can help in anyway for your posting. The atmosphere is not as bad as people outside think about religious tolerance and protection. Kano is safe as I'm talking now.

There are many corpers dat has came to serve here and havent go back cos dey get job or find sometin doin to keep body and soul 2geda.

i served in kano n pasd out feb ds yr. its a nice place though save 4 d almajiris dat tro stones at us at times. 4 d ladies plsssssss if u r postd 2 d interiors try 2 dress like dem o. Kano is a place where u kan actualy save money cos food n transportatn is very cheap. Wish u well

I did my 3weeks orientation camp in Kusalla dam, karaye LGA Kamo State, though as a dislocated FCT Corper. I enjoyed the 3weeks I spent there, because when we eventually went to abuja Camp to conclude our registration, we were glad we did camp in kano.
During our time (batchB 2011) we were told Kano NYSC won the best Secretariat in Nigeria.
The camp is a permanent site so it is well structured. Well paved roads and gutters too. The only problem is d harsh sun and extreme cold at night, so be prepared adequately.
If you must buy food at mammy market, make sure you buy from MADAM EDO, she's the best I tell ya. Dnt waste ur money on others.
Kano is a peaceful town and they welcome corpers well too. There's a song dt was usually played on camp back then 'ku zo muje, ku zo muje garin kano, allah mai girima, ka sa mana albarka' etc. Lovely music I tell ya
They have a large market in Sabon Gari and so many corpers take advantage of that especially in gold business.
I was sad leaving Kano after 3weeks. Have fun guys

Iam Batch B corper currently serving in kano. . .well u dont need any accomodation for now. .becouse u dnt kn whr d ll post u after 3weeks camp in karaye. .mk sure u buy evrythn at home,coz things r expensive in karaye camp. .go with ur mosquito net.cheers!
