(1) Okra soup (aka ila alasepo)

Okra soup is simply a stewed okra soup recipe. It is a very popular delicacy among the Yoruba ethnic group of western Nigeria. It is also known as Ila Alasepo by the Yorubas. This Nigerian Okra soup recipe can be replicated with or without Palm oil. It is also by far the cheapest soup one could prepare in the country.

N200 – Okro
N150 – Grounded Pepper
N200 – Palm Oil
N300 – Ponmo
You will even be left with a change of N200
It's like you don't know how small okro #200 is. Just dey play

πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

What are you talking about brother Silentgroper, today is Sunday, a holy day of the Lord, the only podium I mount is the pulpit to proclaim the gospel.

I am a holy man of God and you seem to have dirty mind.

I was only bringing attention to the firewood in the picture to sensitize and encourage Nlanders to cook more with firewoods.

Where did you even see backside in an innocent picture.

Repent from your silentgroping for the kingdom of God is at hand.

Dear Op, we have a cheaper one called Oha soup.

Oha leaf N100
Thickener N50
Uziza N50
Dried Fish N500
Red Oil N200
Pepper N50
Maggi N50.

This is more balanced
oha is a Life saver but it doesn't go well with uziza.
Which one is thickener? Is it achi?

(3) Ogbono soup

Ogbono Soup is a super tasty, nutrient-dense soup made with Ogbono seeds (African wild mango seeds). It’s a draw soup just like Okro with enough viscosity to have it sticky to a β€˜swallow’ for a sumptuous meal experience. It is also not a soup you need to break the bank for as with N1,000 you can have it made:

N250 – Ogbono seeds

N150 – Pepper

N200 – Palm Oil

N300 – Panla (to give it some spice if you want)
Panla 300 is one very small size piece. E no go show for soup

He said the Alibo would last him 3 days and the kuka would go 3 rounds of cooking which is true.

For those wey sabi kuka soup, yall know its one of the best out there. Without fish or meat the soup was effing awesome. We sha enjoyed ourselves.

(5) Waterleaf soup

Water Leaf is a green leafy vegetable (Talinum Triangulare) grown in Nigeria. An excellent immune booster, it is one of those green vegetables that grow all year round but flourishes more in the raining season. Gbure is what the Yoruba people call it, while the Edo people call it Ebedondon.

It also takes its place among the cheapest soups you could make in the country:

Waterleaf – N400
Palm Oil – N200
Ponmo – N300

No pepper in your water leaf soup, seasoning , protein .
