Big congrats!

You mentioned somewhere that the new immigration rules shouldn't affect current graduates. Hope you're included?

Thanks boss.

Yes boss. I'm not affected for now.. Our Ogas can decided to change it tomorrow though

Your concluding part is contradictory.
If I tell you that rent(loan) money is dead money, work hard to avoid it; am I encouraging or discouraging you to take loan?

To me, it has been a motivating factor.

Life.. Perspectives...interpretation... Often dependent on your ability to think critically or your general outlook

Some things you say can be used as motivation while others think you're insulting, showing off or degrading them.

While some people think you're a show off on LinkedIn, others use that as motivation.

While one says rent money is dead money so as to encourage you to get on the property ladder early and build equity, others think its bullying or showoff

In everything though, one does not brag about the work of one's hands to another with leprosy (loosely translated Yoruba proverb)

We can all see the same screenshot that you have posted several times on the same page.

I am personally avoiding your words as I would not want to catch my kids with these kinds of words on social media, how much more an adult.

Just as you have screenshot his comment without the full context, I can screenshot all your nasty comments and share it on another thread, so people can pick on you.

It is worrisome that you are posting the same screenshot several times just to drive home your point. In the process, you have used insulting words, which are way worse than the comment you screenshot.

I can say that you are not morally qualified to call people out as you are worse than the person you are calling out.

gmacnoms:
I see you as halleluya boys Dey avoid my screenshot.

So you mean say na Lexus direct you how to take find rent for Uk?

So, you Dey find house , na Lexus tell you which website to go or which place to look Abi? Then you need to go back to otakara, if you need someone on nairaland to give you such info. Even when I Dey Nigeria, I no need come ask Lexus which website to find house.

Gradually, Halleluya boys go realize say wetin dem Dey ask na basic things wey simple search go give dem million results and info.

Lexus Halleluya boys. Make Una begin identify Una self one after the other.

It was your comment I quoted not mine. You specifically typed that, so be mindful of what you type next time.

I don't really care if you call me his "die-hard" fan but as you, "his die-hard enemy" are "calling" him out, I am able to call you out too when I believe it is tending towards "picking" on the person.

Everyone can use grammar on the thread.

topellycategory:

Why should I pick on him I'm only telling him is actions sometimes come in a mockery way but to you his die hard fans I'm criticizing him because you choose not to see it that way ok fine.

Absolutely not. I trust justwise will be along shortly to remove all the nasty comments.

You can call out people ,thats fine. Name calling is not okay .

I did read through the thread in question (rather traumatic read, gentleman splashed his toddlers face all over the internet). It appears Lexus's grouse was that this gentleman had been disruptive in the Living in the UK thread while not yet ,in fact, living in the UK.

We will keep this thread open because as more and more nigerians migrate here, they ll turn to us for advice. We will never become a force to be reckoned with in the UK if we do not stand together and share experiences.

NB: you keep saying the information is "littered" all over the Internet but you are here reading this thread ,using the advice provided here. Shouldn't you go find the "littered " advice ?

but agenda must agend..

Jealousy is an ugly trait... .

It steals one's joy and leaves a bitter taste..

Tbh, we are learning from each other. You see once you have all your papers, everything immigration cease to be your worries. I have people asking me questions regarding immigration tiers and I'm clueless cos we didn't use tiers then. I come here to read about everything. I have 5 TVs all powered by iptv, how do you think I got to know about it. Someone just mentioned visabot the other day, I felt like a guru when I told someone to go use it. So, we are all helping and learning from one another.
Another thing people fail to know is that most of the AIs popping up these days, the LLMs are trained by information from places like NL. You can Google all you like but shared individual experiences can't be matched.

what i learnt here from Lexus, Ticha, etc helped me save thousands of £ in solicitor fees, etc and i also advised 3 people with the same use case as mine who weren't on NL...

People don't understand the goldmine we have in the info we get here.. and it has a ripple effect to others not on NL

I believe rent money is dead money too….

Have I bought a house yet? NO…

I’m I pressuring myself to get a house as soon as possible? NO

I’m I working towards savings and buying a property for myself and be on the property ladder? YES
—————————-
Do I get jealous or envy people doing well and getting high-paying job in their first year of getting to the UK? NO

Does that motivate me to get trainings, work harder and up-skill if needs be so I don’t get too complacent on MINIMUM PAYING JOB? YES

RENT MONEY IS DEAD MONEY

I was even thinking that we have outgrown just sharing experiences and should now be turning to trying to influence policy. Encouraging people to vote, run in local and parliamentary elections, join boards and so on

I was amazed at the humongous remittances to Nigeria from us last year. We are clearly a force to be reckoned with .we should pat ourselves on the back and use our strength 💪
