“Tinubu’s govt inherited the worst economic challenges so far in Nigeria’s history” – APC senator

The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate, Sunday Karimi, has declared that the Bola Tinubu-led administration inherited the worst economic challenges in Nigeria’s history.

Karimi stated this while speaking at the maiden edition of Igbaruku Day organised by the Igbaruku-Okeri Community Development Association (ICDA) in Igbaruku-Okeri, Yagba West Local Council, Kogi State, yesterday.

His words: “The administration inherited the worst economic challenges so far in the anal of the country. The President’s long-term vision, driven by proactive policy towards achieving sustainable economic recovery, is slowly yielding fruits.

The government of President Tinubu inherited a bad, in fact the worst situation, so far. Tinubu met the average gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate of 1.8 percent. The four years average preceding the administration of Tinubu was 15.1 percent.

“Nigeria was so bad that government printed money without activities to back it up. It is still our government, the All Progressives Congress(APC). We admit that. Nigerian Naira was almost turned to paper, where one US Dollar equated to N1,900, but the Tinubu’s government is not resting on its oars.

“It is working tirelessly every day to find solutions to the problems. Today, one Dollar equals N1,300. Port Harcourt refinery is back; Warri refinery is back. With patience with President Tinubu, we will live to see the Nigeria of our dream, in the short-term.”

He, therefore, pleaded with Nigerians to exercise patience with the administration.

The westerners are not yet serious, when they're serious they'll hit the streets with massive protests!

Kindly note that the protest must start from the West, to avoid them calling any region hater of Nigeria and Yorubas!

This is one of the most stupid, senseless and baseless statement of the year.
The same people that were hailing buhari to high heavens are the ones saying Tinubu inherited the worst economy from who?
When Buhari took over from Jonathan, APC said four years was not enough to clean PDP's rot of sixteen years. Now it's taking eternity to clean Tinubu's ten months recklessness.
Jonathan handed over to Buhari (APC) the fastest growing economy of the time. Buhari (APC) handed over to Tinubu (APC) the worst economy in the world according to APC.

Now they are using the dollar to show that Tinubu is working, the same dollar he took from #400 and can't bring it back even to #1000. Yet they want you to celebrate that dollar moved from #2000 to #1300.

For the haters and emergency lovers of Nigeria and those who will be quick to call the statement blame game, let it be known that even the best countries in the world face economic challenges. Nigeria as a developing country also faces same challenges every now and then. Be rest assured, we have a captain who understand waves and know how to sail through waves to have a good arrival.

With Tinubu be at rest that the challenges are just a stepping stone to greatness as a country. Tinubu will make it happen.

This is not true. Covid affected the whole planet.
For 2 years the whole world was completely shut down.
There was no production at all.
Nigeria was selling zero crude oil

Nigeria's economy is reliant on crude sales
When GEJ was there oil got over $100/ barrel
When Buhari was there oil actually at the peak of COVID march 20 2020, Oil dipped into the negative, oil producers were paying people to take the oil of there hands to keep the oil well active.
Tinubu is here with Oil at $85 and rising with middle east brewing. So this administration will get more revenue than Buhari's Regime.

Get to work and stop complaining about previous administrations

Lets see what can be done with available resources .

But they don't use their previous governments as excuse not to fix the problems, they get it fixed, is that what Tinubu is doing?
