Betterstill, when last did you travel to the East or are you a ' my mama say I be ibo'? |

Most arguments here are not fact based and are looked from the perspective of state capitals. Even people who have not set foot in other states apart from their state of residence are spewing rubbish. Shior! #Armchair critics. |

Omo_Tier1: Whoever compiled this list is a village champion!how can you say Akwa-Ibom is more developed than Edo? To even see Delta state on that list means the op really does not understand what development really is! You dey craze, what's here in Edo, just because Adam is constructing roads now, you can say Edo is developed. Shiooor, everybody wants to hype their state. Oh, maybe you think having beer parlor in every nook and cranny of a state equal development. Don't even mention Edo. 1 Like |

It is laughable when people include enugu on the list. Outside cosmetic touches in enugu and nsukka the okpa spirit lives on. Akwa Ibom should be included but not before Lagos, Anambra, Rivers, Ogun, Edo, Delta and kano. Development is not about the flyovers and roads but the commercial transactions, road interconnectivity, literate population and standard of living as the measuring index. You may include provision of basic facilities in rural areas by govt and individuals as a yastic. Imo has a huge urban and semi urban population rested on the one city drive by the govt. Litracy level in Imo is mind bugging ( about 83%) highest in west and central africa according to UNESCO. With the insane development of cities in Imo state ( about 11 of them) its sure the are ready for the top. Cross River is just one big joke. Outside Calabar the state capital, lions and reptiles rule the the state. 2 Likes |

cnnamoko: from my numerous tours all over 9ja, i have come to realise that these states are the most developed...just my observations, or what do you think? Oga, am not from Anambra state, but having driven through the villages in Anambra state, i was saying to myself, ''doesnt anambra have a villgae setting?''. Anambra is the most developed state in Nigeria. It comes before Lagos state on this list. Visit Awka, Ihialla, Onitsha, Ekwulobia, Nnewi, you will agree with me. THE WHOLE OF ANAMBRA STATE IS MODERN TOWNSHIP, NO SLUM 3 Likes |

Anambra as a state is 2nd only 2 Lagos, hence d OP is ryt. Bt if u nw pic out individual cities, dem fit cari last sef. Anambra does nt hv a modern city bt dey probably hv d highest number of rich people. All dia towns r villages r filled wit mansions, making d whole state a cluster of semi-cities. Same can nt b said of kano, enugu, akwa ibom, edo, rivers, evn abuja. Since we r talking abt states n nt cities, dey r at d ryt position. NOTE: I am frm enugu state 1 Like |

I mean to still register my surprise that all villages in Anambra have modern eateries, filling stations, car washes, modern markets, shopping malls, nothing would make you feel you werent in a state capital. Kudos again. |
