I bought the 2 new batteries same time from a company that install mast for mtn and i have never separated them. My inverter is very light. its Numeric 2kva. i dont overload it. i only place the loads of 2 fans, 3 energy saving bulbs, a laptop and 32 inch tv and sony home theater on it.
the light weight inverters are not to be relied on when it comes to battery charging and maintenance. Most of them lack the proper charging algorithms to take good care of your batteries.

Solution:
Invite an expert to check that battery with 10volts. tell him to equalize the two batteries if possible.
next time buy an inverter that has CC, CV, 3 STAGE CHARGING SYSTEM, this will give your batteries the care they need.

on the average one Lcd 32inches, one fan, two low energy saving bulbs, i use 20hours, thats wht am saying, if u are using these three appliances and u are getting abt 10hrs then ur are using the wrong inverter/batteries.
trust me

1 what is the make of your inverter,
2.What is your input voltage to the inverter
3 how many battery are you using and at what amps.

Pls kindly answer the above for me, practically I know up to 80percent on inverter in the market and their perfomance down to off load perfomace. Thanks

Israel you are correct, the light weight type lact the power to deliver enough current to battery most expecially where you don't have light up to 12hours and above. Pple that have a day of of light and a day one will never complain abt this light weight type.

If the battery sold to kemi is brand new and she a a good NEPA and she has used the battery for 18month no doubt abt it change the one with 10volt and if you find out you will see that the battery that has 10volt is connected to the negative supply cos that has been my experience over the year

Kemi is your major challenge 10v issue? If its 10v issue and the battery is bad the charging process will be funny just like what you are experiencing now. I'm sure that battery is bad, change it as I said in my reply earlier

kingdvd, I think my inverter is doing just great! I usually switch it off on my own not because it won't go further but because I choose to. With my new addition to the battery bank, I run all loads (Tall fridge included) for more than 8 hours and switch it off at will. I haven't bought fuel or used the gen in 2 weeks and I have had light round the clock. I also use a telecom (your 'MTN base station') batteries

kingdvd:

oneman et al...
i wonder why people nasty experiences with Inverters.
with a runtime of 8hours is ridiculous, to people who have no knowledge of inverters they feel happy wt 8hours.
for me i use 0.8 va Luminous Inverter with one 200ah luminous battery and i can boast of 20hour nonstop runtime wen fully charged. (that is 5 hours runtime daily for four days without PHCN/Gen).
i advice you get a luminous or good inverter and MTN base station batteries and you will experience uninterrupted power supply.
any inverter set up below 15hours is poor! (but dont overload sha) switch off lights/equipment u dont use etc just follow a goo battery management plan.

I see you are not using much load; I put way more load on my set up and I usually turn off (at will) after 10 hours because I do not want to drain the batteries below 60 - 50% at each cycle...

Su-kam Inverter 0.8kva, d amazin abt it is dat auto off and on wen nepa installed.......pls kindly advise me hw to to enjoy it foor long witout regretin.....thkx all d from from akure......

1 be mindful of your load selection as not to overload it
2 make sure you charge regularly but the most impotant thing is that if your electricity is not up to 10hrs in a day you might not enjoy it expecially when you battery is low

What brand is your inverter? Most major brands have service centres .

I use one 30amp charger I bought from Olowu.I think its made by Gaoxingi. Its been pretty good so far.

My inverter is Luminous 800VA, my Battery is a deep cycle 200AH Luminous battery,
It has a low battery indication alarm, that I dnt need to bother abt battery level, wen it's low it will notify me, but I hardly get to that level, that level will be after 20hrs.
Anyone using this same combination can testify.
Let me knw if u are not convinced.

user32: which type of generator do u use?

I bought another used 200ah deep cycle battery and the back up time is better.

I use thermocool Bobo 2500ms.

Hi all.

I am new on this thread and need your advice on choice of inverter make and capacity to opt for. My home has like 2hrs of daily power supply though i have a 3kva back-up generator. I need an inverter that can suffice for my appliances;

one LED, 32 inch samsung, 4 energy saver bulbs (2 at a time),
one Dstv decoder
one big ox fan
a small bedside fridge

Products on my mind include; Luminious, Bluegate and Sukam
Please I need your advice based on expertise and or experience on cost effectiveness, reliability and durability. Thanks

I would suggest you remove the bedside fridge and ox fan and go for a pure sine wave (Mopower 900va) with 2 200ah deepcycle battery and a 30amp external charger.

I think though not to sure sha, surge devices are commong to over voltage, if you need over voltage deviced then go for stabilizer and for surge go for the common one use in most houses and office, but for industrial settting go for phoneix contact thought expensive

Mopower inverter workwork well with battery equalizer other wise one battery tens to deliver more that the other casing life span of battery

I have a 2.5 kva blue gate sine wave inverter, 2 Mtn base station deep cycle 160 amp battery and I can conveniently get 18 hours non stop current when fully charged with 5 60 watt power bulbs, 1 32 inch LCD tv, a decoder, , 1 standing fan and my laptop. Am planning to double the batteries ASAP n maybe later add solar panel. I have only bought 30 liters of fuel in the past 5 months. It really works
