I bought the 2 new batteries same time from a company that install mast for mtn and i have never separated them. My inverter is very light. its Numeric 2kva. i dont overload it. i only place the loads of 2 fans, 3 energy saving bulbs, a laptop and 32 inch tv and sony home theater on it.

on the average one Lcd 32inches, one fan, two low energy saving bulbs, i use 20hours, thats wht am saying, if u are using these three appliances and u are getting abt 10hrs then ur are using the wrong inverter/batteries.

the light weight inverters are not to be relied on when it comes to battery charging and maintenance. Most of them lack the proper charging algorithms to take good care of your batteries.

Solution:
Invite an expert to check that battery with 10volts. tell him to equalize the two batteries if possible.
next time buy an inverter that has CC, CV, 3 STAGE CHARGING SYSTEM, this will give your batteries the care they need.

i wonder why people nasty experiences with Inverters.
with a runtime of 8hours is ridiculous, to people who have no knowledge of inverters they feel happy wt 8hours.
for me i use 0.8 va Luminous Inverter with one 200ah luminous battery and i can boast of 20hour nonstop runtime wen fully charged. (that is 5 hours runtime daily for four days without PHCN/Gen).
i advice you get a luminous or good inverter and MTN base station batteries and you will experience uninterrupted power supply.
any inverter set up below 15hours is poor! (but dont overload sha) switch off lights/equipment u dont use etc just follow a goo battery management plan.

I am new on this thread and need your advice on choice of inverter make and capacity to opt for. My home has like 2hrs of daily power supply though i have a 3kva back-up generator. I need an inverter that can suffice for my appliances;

one LED, 32 inch samsung, 4 energy saver bulbs (2 at a time),
one Dstv decoder
one big ox fan
a small bedside fridge

Products on my mind include; Luminious, Bluegate and Sukam
Please I need your advice based on expertise and or experience on cost effectiveness, reliability and durability. Thanks

I bought another used 200ah deep cycle battery and the back up time is better.

I use thermocool Bobo 2500ms.

I would suggest you remove the bedside fridge and ox fan and go for a pure sine wave (Mopower 900va) with 2 200ah deepcycle battery and a 30amp external charger.

My brother 2hrs of light will is not good at all, I mean at all, all the inverter you mention will not do any magic with your short time nepa, I bet youn under 3month you will get tire, you need a good battery charger to take care of your situation, you can contact 08033681445 for detail

ekkywolex: I have a 2.5 kva blue gate sine wave inverter, 2 Mtn base station deep cycle 160 amp battery and I can conveniently get 18 hours non stop current when fully charged with 5 60 watt power bulbs, 1 32 inch LCD tv, a decoder, , 1 standing fan and my laptop. Am planning to double the batteries ASAP n maybe later add solar panel. I have only bought 30 liters of fuel in the past 5 months. It really works

ekkywolex: they are pure energy bulbs & blue gate inverters are pure sine wave. you can get the batteries from base station maintenance personnel.
