1. Domitilla: the baddest ashawos ever liveth. Eucharia Anunobi, Victoria Inyama, Sandra Achums, Ann Njemanze, Bimbo Akintola...those were the days. They showed us in that movie say true true, ashawo na work

2. Most Wanted: I don't think i've seen another movie where the criminals were an all-women gang. Perfect acting from Ayo Adesanya, Bimbo Akintola, Regina Askia and Genevieve (this is the first movie I saw her in) can't forget the scene where they went to rob a fuel station and the way they played Segun Arinze mugu

3. Mr and Mrs: God Bless Nse-Ikpe Etim, she made this movie. Articulate, precise, passionate. Best part was when she confronted Joseph Benjamin's side chick...."i'm his wife, the mother of his kids, the love of his life and the woman who warms his bed, now who are you?" she killed me there.

4. Full Moon: the soundtrack of his movie, I can't forget. Another Regina Askia classic. She was a child of the full moon, whenever it came out, she had the power to turn people to statues. Remember the part where she turned her abusive dad to a statue when he was chasing her to beat her up.

5. Festival of Fire: Oh the days of Regina Askia, Saint Obi and KOK. Can't forget the scene where Saint Obi (the eze nmuo) and Regina Askia (Rev Sister) found out they were estranged twins. Watched it again recently, can never get over that movie

6. State of Emergency: JT Tom-West (RIP) made this movie bad-asss, his role was just on point. I always love the bad guys...can't forget the scene where a bomb was delivered to the school of the President's daughter wrapped in a gift wrapper and Saint Obi went James Bond on us to prevent the explosion

7. Magun: chai! If not for that movie, I won't even remember Uche Osotule...that movie is just impossible to forget though I was 11 when I saw it.

8. Tears in Heaven: I take style cry for this film sha. I remember Grace Amah and Susan Patrick from it, twas sad how their eldest sister died of cancer after all she sacrificed for her 3 siblings and then the turn around by the two rebels. What I love most were the songs. My best:

"I wan tell you something about wetin God dey do o
I wan tell you say, I have the love of God
Na him dey make me happy, na him dey make me jolly, na him dey make me sing egwu chineke...."

That's all folks ! grin. Sorry for any errors

I suppose so. You can search for them online. AfricaMagic showed Festival of Fire 2 years ago and the picture quality was surprisingly top notch given the year it was shot.

They also showed Full Moon that period

What do you mean by 'Film tricks'?(Do you know the meaning? So Nollywood is real abi)..

Atleast I get entertained, but Nollywood is the opposite, annoying piece of junk....
Atleast our eberyday life is wht we see nd theres lesson to learn in some of dem than watching one man kill 50 people without being hurt where e dey happen.

I love Hollywood than nollywood
but what will need to know is that out of 90% of our filMs are real compare to that of Hollywood and bollywood which are like imagination, only one person will kill thousand of people
all in name of atop nor dey die for film. Bis are some of my nollywood best movies.
1)World apart
2)ijele
3)aki and pawpaw
4)new Jerusalem
5)last kobo
6)egg of life
7)guardian angle. e.t.c
i love all the movies industries in the world.

9. Controversy: My all time favourite Onyeka Onwenu movie. The mad woman who was impregnated by a ritualist and has twin boys, Charles Okafor and one other guy I used to love, don't remember his name anymore. She went through heaven and hell for them only for the other dude to get married and abandon her. Funny enough the most memorable part of the movie had nothing to do with the main characters. Remember the chief priest who went mad after the fatal abortion and kept singing:

"Ugo, shave me, shave me o, shave me
Nne gi, shave me, shave me o, shave me" grin

That's all folks ! grin. Sorry for any errors

Mehn, u bi guru for films ooo

Hello Landers, what's your best-ever Nigerian/Nollywood Movie?
Mine is Oleku by Tunde Kelani...its a very old movie but its my #1 Nigerian movie.. very interesting film featured great Tafa Tomilola of university of ife, Shina peter, simply saka/i don port(Afis Oyetoro), Lere Paimo and so many other great artistes. I have the part one and two, downloaded it from youtube by the help of a pc software, YTD Video downloader.

The movie, Oleku is an adaptation of Prof. Akinwunmi Ishola’s novel of the same name.  Oleku was released by Mainframe Film and Television Productions in 1997.  The movie tells the story of Ajani, a final year student of the University of Ibadan who is in search of a life partner due to pressures from his mother.  He soon finds himself in a quandary as he becomes involved with three beautiful women- ASAKE, his beautiful old time girl friend who has just finished sixth form and teaches in a school in town; LOLA, a pretty, tall, slim and dark first year student he just met; and finally SADE, a childhood acquaintance who gradually and fortuitously gets promoted to the centre stage of the love drama.

The movie was set in the 1970s, as such, every element reflects just that.  Hence, the old vehicles, buildings, costumes, hair-dos and props.  In the movie, all the characters are dressed in the old attires that were worn in the period the story represents.  During the period of its public release and for some years after, Oleku sparked a fashion revolution in Nigeria particularly with the short Iro and Buba which people began to call Oleku.

What's your best-ever or ever green Nigerian/Nollywood Movie?

Anything that has Odunlade in it.

I swear that Guy is ready for Hollywood. He needs to get together with an agent here and shop for a movie role.
