Now lets talk about merit. PDP has absolutely none, APC has some, not much, but enough to lead the way in the proper direction which Nigeria was destined to go before it got derailed the last 40+ years. GEJ did not start the rot but he has continued it. If you really love Nigeria you'll at least admit this claim. I lived in Nigeria a good part of my adult years and believe it or not I love Nigeria and her people. Nigeria would've been a very lovely place to live if not for the simple things that it doesn't have: security, good health care, electricity, water, roads, justice etc Nigeria probably has the best weather anywhere in the world... at least places Ive been. The people are wonderful folks and although sometimes I might come off as harsh or condescending when replying certain annoying elements on here, its all out of love and frustration. In the 70's, we all thought by the "2000s" Nigeria would at least be on par with countries like Malaysia and virtually giving South Korea and co a run for their money. Nobody ever thought Nigeria would be mentioned in the same sentence as Chad and Niger; except of course the topic was soccer.

PDP has brought nothing but destruction to Nigeria, it is still the same cabal and groups that have held Nigeria by the jugular from inception. Nigeria needs to break away free from them. And only Buhari has the guts to go at them. Let me tell you, personally, I think GEJ (even though a bad man in his own right i.e association with shady characters, corrupt politicians, terrorists like Henry Okah, Asari Dokubo, Tompolo etc, toying with the lives of citizens by promoting religious and tribal division etc) still "has a heart"--- when you compare him to other Nigerian Presidents. But the truth is that he is a coward! And a coward does not have any business leading the greatest black nation in the world, PERIOD!!!

GEJ seems to me like the kind of man that acts, realizes his mistakes, then takes steps to correct them. He did this during the fuel subsidy saga, during the banning of Nigeria from all international soccer competitions and also during Chibok scandal, you know what that tells me? He has a heart!

But notice that GEJ only acts hot headed and doesn't seem to listen whenever the issue centers around corruption. Whenever corruption is the topic, GEJ the listener suddenly becomes GEJ the deaf and mute. Not only that, he also seems to lose all sense of reasoning when that subject comes on. Its not that GEJ doesn't know what to do, he does, but he also knows that he cannot really go toe to toe with the worst of the worst financial criminals fleecing the Nigerian Treasury lest they expose him too. You ever heard that little saying "He who comes into equity must come with clean hands."? Yeah, it applies here too, and President Goodluck Jonathan's hands are as dirty and as sticky as they come. He can't beat them, so he joins them. And guess who suffers when everyone---including the President, people close to him, and even his enemies---are stealing Nigeria blind? The Nigerian people including generations unborn.

You guys really need to get it together and forget religious and tribal bias and pick the "cleanest man" amongst you. You don't pick a thief to manage your money. Thats the mistake Nigerians are always making. You always select thieves to manage the money for the Nigerian people. Well, unfortunately, thieves aren't built to manage money, their DNA is engineered to STEAL! So while you're left starving with no jobs and no electricity or good roads, your darling Senators are living in mansions while junketing the world on shopping sprees. When they get a headache they hop on a Private Jet to Germany, the hospitals they built for you is not good enough for them. The doctors are not qualified enough to poke through their bodies, but thats what they saddle you with. Yet, you stand in the hot sun every election to put the very same people that made you miserable in the first place at the helm as your leaders. When will you start demanding what is rightfully yours?!

Let me tell you something that will blow your mind and why I sincerely think Nigerians are weird and a certain section is made up of nothing but sadists:

SINCE INDEPENDENCE, ONLY ONE GOVERNMENT HAS TRULY FOUGHT FOR THE NIGERIAN PEOPLE BY ENSURING THAT EVERY LAST PENNY WAS ACCOUNTED FOR. The duo of Buhari/Idiagbon. No matter what you say about Buhari/Idiagbon regime, they weren't corrupt and did not go about enriching themselves like the IBB gang wanted (which led to them being overthrown).

Nigeria, you know your problem, and you know the solution. Either get right, or get petty and you'll either move with the rest of the developed world, or the rest of the normal world will leave you and your dreams behind.

You will surely go broke if you take a single word from a politician like Buhari . . .

He said he wasn't going to contest the 2011 election and that the election will be last. Now what happened afterwards ?

Freshly released from Turai's kitchen, GEJ promised to rule for a single 4yr term. Three weeks after becoming President he tried to kick in motion actions that would enable him become Nigeria's first life President by proposing a single 7yr term for the President. Nigerians refused because this same tactic is what dictators like Biya and Musevini used to keep their people in bondage for 30+yrs. 7YEARS SINGLE TERM TENURE!!!

Ironically, GEJ's first Official state visits--- 2 weeks after becoming President--- were to Paul Biya and Yuweri Musevini of Cameroon and Uganda respectively.

GMB SPEECH...

First I would like, Mr Chairman, if I may, pay tribute to Nigerians as a whole who are enduring all sorts of hardships and deprivations on a daily basis. Many millions are grappling with extreme poverty and barely eking out a living. Nearly all are in fear of their lives or safety for themselves and their families due to Insurgency by the godless movement called Boko Haram;

By marauding murderers in towns and villages;
By armed robbers on the highways;
By kidnappers who have put whole communities to fright and sometimes to flight.

Ladies and gentlemen, it is everyone’s duty to resolve and help the national effort to overcome these immense challenges. I would like us to place on record our appreciation for the efforts of our Armed Forces under new leadership and police in confronting these challenges.

I would like, secondly, to thank our supporters up and down the country for their perseverance and resolve in face of an oppressive PDP government.

Mr Chairman, this is an occasion to celebrate our efforts and to resolve to continue until victory is won. I humbly wish to present myself before you, before all of Nigeria and before God seeking to be elected as APC’s Presidential candidate. Having appreciated that the only way to relieve Nigerians of the PDP, the main opposition parties decided to pool their strengths into one party. We have worked very hard in the last 18 months to put up structures from the polling units to wards, local governments, states and the centre.

We have tried to ensure all processes in our party formation to be transparent and credible. These structures will lead to free and fair polls. There is no point in holding elections if they are not free and fair.

Interference in the form of rigging which PDP Government has practised since 2003 is the worst form of injustice – denying people their right to express their opinions. Whether they like it or not, injustice cannot endure.

Since 1999 PDP has presided over our country’s decline. Nigeria in my experience has never been so divided, so polarized by an unthinking government hell bent on ruling and stealing forever whatever befalls the country. Mr Chairman, we in APC are resolved to stop them in their tracks and rescue Nigeria from the stranglehold of PDP.

The last 16 years of PDP Government has witnessed decline in all critical sectors of life in Nigeria

There is now general insecurity in the land

Quite apart from Boko Haram, there is prevalence of Armed Robbery, kidnappings and killings, cattle rustling, market and farmland arson.

These outrages have taken a new and a frightening dimension, disrupting economic and social life across whole communities.

The economy continues to deteriorate while the Government continues to announce fantastic growth figures but manufacturing is down, agriculture is down, commerce is down

Simply because you sell oil and steal part of the money does not entitle you to cook figures and announce phantom economic growth when all the major indices namely,

Employment
Manufacturing
Farming
Trading

are demonstrably on the decline.

When PDP came to power in 1999 Nigeria was generating about 4,000 M/W of electricity. After 15 years and $20 billion spent we are generating between 3,000 – 4,000 M/W. No failure is more glaring than this.

We in APC are resolved to bring change to Nigeria. We plan to do things differently.

We plan to put priority on

Protection of lives and property.
Pursuing economic policies for shared prosperity and immediate attention on youth employment.
Quality education for development, modernity and social mobility.
Agricultural productivity for taking millions out of poverty and ensuring food security.
Reviving Industry to generate employment and “make things” not just to remain hawkers of other peoples’ goods.
Developing solid minerals exploitation which will substantially attract employment and revenue for government.
Restoring honour and integrity to public service by keeping the best and attracting the best.
Tackling corruption which has become blatant and widespread. The rest of the world looks at Nigeria as the home of corruption. Nigeria is a country where stealing is not corruption.
Last, (but not the least or final) respecting the constitutional separation of powers between the executive, legislatures and judiciary and respecting the rights of citizens.

Mr Chairman, there, in outline are some policy proposals about the direction APC should take when, by the grace of God, we are given the responsibility of serving Nigeria in Government.

General Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR

I just love this man he is a wicked truth sayer!

MCFARLIN ENDORSES GENERAL BUHARI!

I have been having a serious laugh over the way TANoids and Jonathanians have been running from pillar to post just to discredit the character of the Incorruptible one GMB

You guys are in soup as sane and rational people ( except the ireedemable ones ETHNORELIGIOUS BIGOTS) have since known and discovered that Nigeria can never move forward under the PDP least of all under the shambolic failure-prone leadership of GEJ

Everyday i have been encountering via communication people whose eyes have become open to the fact that it is only CORRUPT people who are afraid of Buhari

But the rest of us knows that he will deploy his integrity to the benefit of the masses

An Igbo man said, I don't really know why we
Igbos, are hard core supporters of GEJ. it's
obvious that he has failed everybody. I have
observed that Igbos defend GEJ even when his
own people (IJAW) condemn him.Have u
forgotten
the Nigeria governors forum election where
Rotimi
Amechi got 19 votes while Jonah Jang got
16;GEJ
refused to recognize Amaechi as the winner of
the
election.
let's not forget the issue of fuel subsidy, were u
not happy when u bought a litre of fuel for
#65?
lately, the price of gas has also gone up. i
remember when GEJ said the price of kerosine
will
remain at #50, he only said that to fool the
masses because kerosine is sold at #150. who
is at
the suffering end?
When Sanusi Lamido brought to limelight, the
issue of un-remitted oil fund, GEJ was quick to
suspend him from office and we igbos, called
Sanusi names, not because he lied but
because
he
is a Northerner. Today,we all have to pay #65
for
withdrawing from an ATM different from d
banks
we operate. Nobody criticized the present CBN
governor because he is an Igbo man. Let me
ask, didnt we enjoy using ATM when Sanusi
removed the #100 charge?
When GEJ became President we were rejoicing
that a lecturer, teacher and a PhD holder is
now
our President. Under his watch,ASUU went on
strike for 6months,ASUP 10 months,COEASU
11
months, the longest in the history of nigeria.
This
toyed with the future of millions of Nigerian
youths . The latest is the $9.3m scandal, Do
you
know it is about 150billion naira? wonder why
such cash will be moved out of the country in
the
era of "cash less society".when did South Africa
become experts in production of fire arms, why
didn't they go to Russia etc if they actually
wanted
to buy fire arms?
Another 1billion $ loan was approved to fight
the
boko-haram.
Down to Igbo land, what has GEJ done? Enugu
to
Onitsha road and Enugu to Porthartcourt
roads
are nothing to write home about. Just because
election is around the corner,he remembers
2nd
Niger bridge.
Talking of Igbo presidency, an Igbo man
cannot
become president under PDP in 2015. though
PDP
use zonning system to pick their presidential
candidate, but the zoning is between North and
South and not between all the 6 geo political
regions as many of believe. So what it implies
is
that after GEJ, the zoning will shift power to
the
North. shortly after 2011 elections, on 1st
january
2012,GEJ talked about removing fuel subsidy,
saying that he wants to use the money to
build
refineries, till date, Nigeria is still importing
refined
petroleum product . He is yet to build a single
refinery . In case u don't know,The present govt
is
planning on total subsidy removal on
petroleum
product , meaning nigerians will have to pay
about
#190 for a litre of fuel . Just as He did in 2012
after winning in2011, he may also give us a
surprise on 1st jan 2016 if he is re elected in
2015.
Keep sentiments apart and rate the present
govt,
u will see that GEJ has failed us.Let's vote him
out.. Can u remember WAI (war against
indiscipline)
in Nigeria? Can u remember the man that
introduced WAI in Nigeria? Godbless u all.

Insulting one another just to put your point across is certainly not a wise way of winning an argument.

Nigeria belongs to all of us.

Those who don't like General Muhammad Buhari and what he stands for don't have to vote for him.

Same with those who can't stand another 4years of GEJ and his style of govt can vote someone else they prefer.

In the final analyses,

If we fail to do the right people according to our conscience regardless of tribe, religion or who can spend most money,.

We will all be here in another 4yrs with more lamentation.

It is up to us all
