Please State the facts. Black market in Anambra State is N130, which is just N10 higher from the normal price. And I doubt the fuel scarcity has anything to with the political staus quo in Anambra state. Please let's state the fact and stop deceiving each other.

Aii. They should pls pay

Nigerians are allergic to paying tax, probably because they don't believe in the government - quite sad. sad

About 2weeks ago, I wasn't seeing light in ma hood, had to ask from peeps that have their ears to the ground, they said EEDC where asked to pay tax and they refused. So they went briefly on strike and returned after few days.
-This tax issue is never received well by the masses/business entities. It should be looked into

Seems we share Same Line!

I humbly disagree with your price. I travelled to Enugu today and my cousin had to buy fuel for 250 naira in Onitsha near that 33, federal housing area. The most annoying thing was as we were on the border between Uzo-uwanni and Anambra state, we could not accelerate above 40kph. It took us about 4hours to get to Nsukka to navigate a route that should just last an hour or so.

I seriously hope this issue is rectified by tomorrow else the masses would suffer it first hand.
As of this evening, I had to pay double the normal amount to transport myself,
What will then be the case by tomorrow if nothing is done.

I don't think Nigerians are allergic to paying taxes. I think people are not adequately consulted and enlightened on the tax rates and the benefits of paying taxes. Who won't be skeptical about paying taxes in a country with a corruption record like Nigerias when the likelihood of your money entering someone's pocket is high. And then their enforcement and compliance methods are so barbaric! They just invade your space with thugs and seal off your premises without notice.
Let's not just administer taxes because white people do it. We should apply a little more sense, diligence and accountability

Aba women Riot took place in 1929 wink

Yes and correct! But it was not purely about taxation. It was about double taxation (husband and wife) as well as taxation without representation. Women were not allowed to vote at that time when Britain had been ruled by series of Queens.
