My reply to this poster was to remind him that Nigeria earned about $14B from crude oil sales in 1977 . I was actually not correct, Nigeria actually earned about $17B, because after the sharing with the IOCs Nigeria was left with N6,080M as captured by the budget. By the way that is the same thing as N6.08B. I thought the sharing formula was 50/50 instead it was 55/45, because of the 1974 Second Participation Agreement, Federal Government increased their equity to 55%.

The miracle the APC people wanted us to believe was Nigeria did not even earn $1B in 1977, how can $2.8B be missing. Nigeria earned about $17B in 1977, because we collected 55% of the oil revenue which was N6.080M roughly $9.6B.

So, yes, Buhari would not account for $2.8B is not a tale by moonlight.

2. On the issue of exchange rates, Look at the table below and see for yourself that from 1972 to 1984/85, the Naira was more valuable than the Dollar (that is: less than a naira was equal to One Dollar).
