Ok doc marc. I did a urine culture test, i started medication abt three weeks ago 8th oct to be precise. Tanx.
Okay.

I think you're anemic or you have low PCV. You can get blood supplements(folate, vitamin C, calcium, and vitamin B12,). You'll be okay!

went 4 a pelvic scan 2day, n d sonographer said all was well n deer was noting wrong with baby, bt I was surprise 2 c on d result dat I was 34 wks gone n edd is early DEC instead of 37wks n my edd being 2nd wk in Nov. I'm used 2 seeing a week differences in dis results, bt I tink 3 wks difference is just 2 much. my doctor did a tummy measurement n concluded dat my baby was way past 36 weeks n I shldnt b worried. its really hard not 2 worry even though I read some sites dat gave some assurances. I'd like 2 know wat can cause such huge difference in d edd date. awaiting ur quick response.
@ Twichnnie I won't also mind if u ans dis.

Such disparity is owing to human error. It is either the sonography wasn't accurately done and interpreted, or your doctor simply over-assumed after he palpated, observed the fetal heartbeat, and measured your tummy.

I'll advise you go run a confirmatory scan and check your EDD at another diagnostic centre and see if it tallies with the former or the latter.

Sir,i am humbled by how your ways of rendering answers to questions of our women.Nice of you, thanks!

In respect to MumZ question,i would advice she worries little about her sonographical EDD,this is because sonographical EDD do show variability as the pregnancy progresses.I am not surprise that she might come to write another sonographical EDD from another diagnostic centre. But if you study these results you will understand that each of the records fall into a central tendency which can actually fall out a specific derivable average EDD.I do tell women to keep in mind all the EDDs shown and recorded to them and respectfully by mentality prepare for each day.Nevertheless, sonographical EDD at the early trimester (if done with least error) of gestation is more truer than any EDD gotten at the other trimesters. So the 1st EDD should be taken somewhat seriously. Now,as i usually may do for some confused cases of EDD,would be to calculate the average EDD for a preggy that has more than 3 EDDs.I will have a value that is close to all the EDDs,this insinuation has helped me again and again on attending to most women...

Marc9,i love your sense of view, hope mine is pardon?

One hand does not lift a pot of soup. It takes two hands.

Feel free to always chip in your view as well.

Well in regard to EDD, like I said, one of both medics erred or over-assumed. I don't know about EDD varying as pregnancy progresses. All I know is it takes 40weeks from the start of the last menstruation for a pregnancy to progress to a 'term'.
Re: Health Advice: Doctors Online by Nobody: 8:07am On Oct 28, 2014
MumZ, can you remember the date of your last menstruation? If you can, I'll calculate your EDD, without a sonogram or palpation or tummy measurement.

yes o, Feb 8th, dats y I know dis last scan result is really off. all oda scan dates I got were all 2nd week in Nov, which I know is accurate, dis 1 just jumpd 2 1st week in DEC. like Lucky G said, I also read dat earlier scans r more accurate, bt I'm just worried cos of d 2 much time differences in d edd. my 1st child edd dates were all in dsame week. tanks 4 ur time doc.
Your EDD is 15th of November 2014!!!!!
Re: Health Advice: Doctors Online by Nobody: 11:16am On Oct 28, 2014
Few ladies give birth on their EDD. Quite a lot of them seem to go into labour seven(7) or nine(9) days before their due dates or after their due dates.

MumZ, here's what your adorable baby now looks like..... smiley

Well things like this happen though. Human error. Maybe the sonographer was thinking about his rent. The landlord might have given him a sleepless night.

Well, just take it as an iatrogenic mistake and pardon him!

The reason you're amenorrhoeic is due to the extremely low estrogen(E2) and progesterone secretion. There's a negative feedback in which an high prolactin causes the GnRH to decrease the production of estrogen(E2) and progesterone. Your prolactin level is still high. The normal range is 12-20ng/ml, and your level is 37ng/ml. It still needs to drop lower.

Your blocked tubes, was it stated that both tubes are blocked? Or just one? And also, was the site of the occlusion stated, if it's proximal tube blockage, mid-tube blockage, or distal tube blockage?! Did your gynae bother to find out the cause of the tubal blockage? Was it infection? Was it scarring?

Well, depending on the site of the blockage and the cause, the situation can still be salvage. Don't know if you've heard of certain procedures like fertility massage that help dislodge scars in the tube. Regular exercise also helps dilate the tube as blood vessels become hyperemic.

Add me up on BBM, so I can give more insight on this.

Your first question. I'll say CLL may or may not be curable depending on its prognoses. But stage IV CLL has high risk groups and immediate treatment is required, because the cancer has progressed to other organs. At this stage, the person becomes anemic and thrombocytopenic.

Your second question. Yes CA do spread to other parts of the body. It's called 'metastasis'. CA can spread from the marrow down to the lungs, and when that happens, the condition becomes critical.

Your third question. Chances of survival depends on the nature of the treatment plan. But the rate hovers between 40 to 65%. But it all depends on treatment plan, and the metastatic progress of the CA

Leocolin, it's a cardiopulmonary congestion/discomfort.

I wish I can help with Rx, but I can't. Not here!

Well, the infection likely explains why you seem to experince that symptom.

Have you treated the candida completely? Is your menstruation regular?

Well, it depends. If you seem to observe whitish discharge with offensive smell, then it shows the infection is still active.

Ok.

Well, I think it's better you seek the help of a gynae. He'll get you examined and investigate the cause of your conceptual delay.
