There are too many cowards in our military. This military cannot claim to be under-equipped in any area.

Our recruitment and training process have been proven to be flawed, this insurgency against common militia men have exposed our rotten under-belly.

Infantry men, cannot carry out infantry operations they have been trained to carry out. It isn't now a question of fixed and rotary winged assets. As even with those adequately supplied, the cowards in the army would still run away.

From one guy to another I'd say calm down. I wouldn't agree more on the flawed recruitment process, heard of the Magaji list? A list presented by the NAOWA in the north, what you find there is illiterate boys sent straight to Jaji for training without screening while you're having B.sc holders in the south been screened out as privates or Islamic studies holder been commissioned into the SSC drafted to sappers Corp. It's a mess but I believe someday things will change.

Henry take note too, there are good elements in the military also and they need your nairaland support.

yes i know there re some lapses in our millitary, that shouldnt warrant the media to wright trash about them. We most bust there moral on battle feild by given them all the suppor they needed, if we keep on pulling them down by our nagetive criticism, we might end up fighting by ourself.

I never claimed that because a military makes its weapons, it were immune to defeat. I did claim however that Nigeria would not lose this war, and it seems to me that you also made that claim !
Secondly the Nigerian army is not only more equiped than the brand new iraqi "army" but it also has much more experience since the araqi soldiers are fresh recruits or shall I say almost civilian and have no history, they shouldn't be confused with the saudi era military.

In the US their military tells blattant lies to them (saddam developping weapons of mass destruction, saddam linked to benladen, libyan terrorists being peaceful protesters then syrian terrorists being peaceful protesters (just before some of them called themselves isis and beheaded some westerners)), but even with that, americans will still believe their military above any source. But in our case a simple mistake is enough to never believe the military anymore, be rational, just a little bit. I don't recall the military saying Gwoza was not occupied by terrorists.

Let me continue to say, i'm the military's number 1 supporter in Nigeria. Neither, am I saying the situation is all bad, there are still many fine officers and recruits in our military.

What i'm calling for is a defence review. We need to review our entire defence architecture, and make the needed changes.

Seriously though, my opinions are mostly based on personal interactions, not anti-nigeria sources like saharareporters or premiumtimes , neither do I think there is a better Naija patriot out there than myself. I've invested my time positively reporting the Nigerian military.


However, there have been multiple lapses, lapses confirmed by the jumping general himself, COAS minimah, and the trial of over 96 military personnel.

Nigeria army are not that good, they only do well when they are fighting unarmed person,
Nigeria army didn't crushed Biafra, It was Biafrans that suspended the War when they found out that Yoruba/Hausa,Fulani Soldiers concentrated only on killing of unarmed Women and little Kids.

Seems like the hometown of the Chief of Defence staff at vimtim in Adamawa has also fallen to BH.
